They're two different sets. The screencaps version is from the upcoming Summer 2012 wave, while the one ncbarrett was a special alternative build using pieces from 10 (!) of the sets released in 2009.

Hmmmm, so far no set containing Queen Amidala Minifigure!? :eh: I am curious what's the set gonna be looking like?

I think it's the Gungan Bongo. The white female minifig is just a stand-in for the prelim image. If I remember right, the gamespot session said that the Queen would be in set 9499.

The sub set seams logical.

LOL, the LEGO Group filed a copyright claim against the user's SW video, and now it is unavailable to watch. Kinda weird how they didn't do that to all of the other themes.

How many lego star wars fans want a tower next to Jabba’s Palace but not a trap inside the palace?

Some times you have to wonder were these guys get their ideas from. Maybe the set will change since that was just a preliminary pic.

I hope Lego opens their mind;if we truly are partners with lego should they not set up polls to see what WE want

I don't mind the tower. I think it's wishful thinking to hope that they are doing Jabbas Palace in phases and this is just one portion.

LEGO Star Wars 30056 Star Destroyer & 30058 STAP

Post by Toys N Bricks » Fri Dec 30, 2011 7:37 pm

Two new LEGO Star Wars Promotional Polybags will be coming out sometime in 2012. No need to worry about availability as I'm sure they will all be released sometime at Target in USA or through various newspaper promotions in the United Kingdom. (via Brickset)

A australian toy website is listing the summer wave with prices. Do keep in mind it is all in AUD$$$, so here are the (estimated) US prices:

9496 Desert Skiff AUD$49.99 / $24.99 USD
9497 Old Republic Starfighter AUD$89.99 / $54.99 USD
9498 Saesee Tin Starfighter AUD$69.99 / $39.99 USD ( :what?: )
9499 Gungan Sub AUD$119.99 / $59.99 USD
9500 Fury Class Interceptor AUD$149.99 / $89.99 USD (not 100% sure on this one)
9515 Malevolence AUD$199.99 / $119.99 USD
9516 Jabba Palace AUD$229.99 / $139.99 USD (not 100% sure on this one)

The planet sets were listed (AUD$15.99) but we know it will be $9.99 USD for sure...

30056 looks boring, just a pile of grey plates. 30058 looks like it has a bunch of fun parts.

Great sets! By the way, here are some MORE great 2012 promotional sets: http://www.bricktuts.com/2012/01/lego-2 ... #more-2782" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Pretty amazing, right? Can't wait for the Batman ones myself. The podracer looks a little lame. But overall, pretty great news. :)

I like the Friends sets, maybe they will have them for Valentine's Day at Target , my daughter would be thrilled. I hope they will be available in the US.

I find the City ones to be boring....another police boat and another helicopter...yawn

$24.99 for Desert Skiff?! Drat!! I was hoping to get it for $12.99. Yes, I know they're estimated, but they're most likely correct. Thanks, anyhow.

Anyone know any details about set 9526 Palpatine's Arrest? Just noticed it on the "new addition to the database" section on brickset.

I guess I might also mention set 9525 Pre Vizsla's Mandalorian Fighter. I wonder if that would be the Gauntlet, or some other ship?

Most likely store exclusives. 9526 as a set would make zero sense to me...

nice! I'm stoked for the new Jabba's Palace. Just ordered a few LEGO Star Wars 2012 sets through BrickBounty.com. Picked up the new X-Wing and Endor Battle Pack! I can't wait til January 30th.
