I got an e-mail notice saying that the pyramid had been back ordered shortly after I placed my order, however, the website itself makes no note of this.

NOTE - I ordered one... you greedy b**tards. :lol:no

It has gone on sale for at leas that much at Walmart, which is the only retail store that carries it.

you get it for $30 in a bundle. hint - you can return the set you don't want in a bundle. i bundled it with the sw calendar, which at first i thought was a good deal but after seeing how many were left in a TRU when even the kitchen sink sold out i just had to return the excess.

i think i figured out their logic. you can betcha anything on backorder will be cancelled. in the previous thanksgiving sale the same thing happened. doesn't matter when you ordered. the imperial flagship was backordered for a short while and anyone ordered then had their order cancelled. when it return to being in stock, the orders made then shipped. same with the board game sets. when it shows in process it will ship. when it's backordered, it's cancelled.

still, there's no downside.... i dare them to cancel my order... i just hope the shipping charge is pro-rated. and if it is, i'll get a booster pack for only $5.

BTW - not sure who that idiot foxmon is at SD. he copied ICE's list word-for-word without giving credit. what an a-hole. probably took him like 1 min to misspell "annaul" while it took ICE 3 hours to compile the list and discounts. and now there'll be more clicks going to a site with more spammers than to here.

i'm not sure letting anyone registered to see this forum is such a good idea. just my 2 cents.

Wow, pretty lame deals. TRU's BOGO is better in some instances and I hate saying that! I'm hoping to have some sales on the 30th-31st as I will be going to multiple Lego shops in Mass that weekend and hoping to pickup as much that will fit in my car.

Sales and Deals page gas now been updated - makes things more convenient to see.

Fully agree - the list ICE produced looked like a lot of work and works great to see all the discounts. Folks from other sites should not be copying this and promoting it as their own!

Can't find anything online. Was hoping to find an Ice Dragon Attack. Tempted on the Windu set but shipping would kill the deal.

I can confirm the sales are pretty weak in store as well. I'm glad I did all the running around with the 40% off coupon at Barnes & Noble before Christmas. This was my first day after Christmas sale at the Lego store and I had high hopes City of Atlantis would be 50% off but no such luck. I was the first person in the door of three (no crowd) and did manage to grab 5 Ramses Pyramids (they had them stickered as $23 each but I let them know the price online) and a pack of mummy mini figures for $24. Not bad at all, just not what I was hoping to find.

I hear whispers that target will have more deals this week. Wish I had taken advantage of that $10 off $50 rather than wait for this morning at the Lego store.

Trying to get a MMV before they are gone. I hesitated on the Imperial Flagship. Had one in my hand on Black Friday and now I'm kicking myself.

Thanks for all the leads folks.

Got up early for the 7 am opening at my local LEGO store. Pretty much out of stock on the sale items and what they did have, we already got from B&N for 50% or more. We did end up buying the Construct a Zurg. Yup. Totally not worth it.

Going back to bed.

Today I was able to pick one up for 50% off at my local Wal-Mart. As always with Wal-Mart, YMMV.

Judging by the Wal-Mart Clearance thread, they seem to be having a chain wide clearance like last year.

Thanks for the heads up. At least this time, they didn't show all the sold out/not available items there. Last year, it created lots of buyer frustration. An improvement!

Thanks natelite and others for speaking out. It did take me a long time to make that list. It took so long that I even gave up classifying the 20% off sets into themes.

Unfortunately, the site is public and free so theres really no way I can stop them. Its not just this list that people are copying. I am aware that there are also other people coming in here to take deals (and then start posting it elsewhere as their own). Very disrespectful to everyone here who worked hard looking for the deals. To those people that provide credit, I really appreciate it.

However, I believe those people are not doing it intentionally. Probably just forgot to give credit or was in a hurry when posting. :)

I'm surprised that Ice didn't get more rep considering there were over 5000 views on this thread. The sale was a disappointment but still, I'm sure everyone was waiting till midnight for Ice to post the deals. This list must have taken a long time to put together. Much appreciated Ice.

Just my 2 cents.

Though, I do try to think positively all the time (and not the other way around). Those people are probably not doing it intentionally. He didn't say he made the list so maybe he just wanted to share the info quickly to the SD community and forgot to give credit as a result. We all make mistakes sometimes but I believe everyone has some good ethics in them. Think postively and it will feel a lot differently that way. =)
You do great work Ice! This website of all the Lego sites out there is my favorite!

Disappointing - but one has to remember that when folks order 99 of them (or even place several orders with 99 of them) that's more than larger retailers (i.e. entire WalMart stores) sold in the run of the set... they probably did not even have anywhere near the inventory compared to the orders that they received...

However, they REALLY need to improve their inventory system as this causes many people to be upset (unless they actually plan on shipping the ones where people ordered "only" two or three of them).

Well how about placing an order for some games at 1am, then LEGO puts you order on hold, finally releases but the stock is all gone?? What a bunch of goof balls. People who placed orders 10+ hours after me got stock for sure, since it was still listed, but by the time they unheld my order nothing left at all.
