If they use UPS (not sure yet), you'll need to add $10 + sales tax (dependent on province). In Alberta, it'll be about $12.50. Also, the credit card exchange is always worse than the actual exchange, so if the price is $55 + $12.50, it'll be $67.50 after taxes vs $105 after taxes locally, which is still about 35% off. If amazon ships it DHL, then likely no additional fees will be added and it's about 48% off ($55 instead of $105).

I live in Alberta. Most of the large sets through amazon get shipped to me via UPS. This is the first time a large set got shipped DHL from Amazon (UK).

Interesting, I wonder what the factors are on making decisions from Amazon.uk on shipping parcels. I though province was a factor, but from what you just told me, that is not the case. Please do update us when you get the set.

Just got the set delivered today. The outside box was beat up badly, but the Lego box itself only had a minor crease on it.

Credit card was charged just under $55 and msrp (after taxes here) is $105. Great deal... no other charges applied.

Thanks for the update, I wonder if I email amazon directly before I order next time would make a difference on which courier they use.
