Not 100% sure on this, but the flyer also says "Receive a $10 Hasbro Savings card with any purchase of $50 or more

I got one of the cards, which I plan to spend on board games, when I picked up my 42000 Grand Prix Racer. I had to convince the sales clerk that the $50 purchase didn't need to be Hasbro merch, but you can't argue a flyer that states "ANY purchase of $50 or more" (their capitals, not mine).

Just got back from my local TRU. I was able to purchase the Gandalf bag on it's own for $4.99. I also went to the electronics area and asked if I could purchase the Elrond figure; he checked with his boss and they weren't able to sell it to me, however he said he could just give me one! So, I bought Gandalf and got Elrond for free!

Didn't expect that.

I tried to buy one at the west end Edmonton store but the employee made me buy a game. She said they have 100 or so in the back!

For the Elrond, you are suppose to, but the Gandalf you need to spend $30 or more on any Hobbit or LoTR sets, maybe the CSR got confuse, or you can just buy it for $4.99.

Gandalf polybags were on an endcap at my store for $4.99 a pop.

The Gandalf was at the till and I asked if I could buy one, she said she wasn't sure so | asked her if it scans with a price and it did so she sold me one.

With the Elrond I was prepared to buy a game if I had to, but they just gave me one, I guess it pays to ask the question sometimes.

yeah, i was given an elrond for free too. the guy at the electronics cash said that he kept forgetting to even give them out when someone bought the lotr lego game..

I tried Ordering at 2am and the site wasnt updated yet, it was still at the old price

What you can do (next time) is order before the sale starts and then call back for a price adjustment when they open. That's what I did as I thought these sets would go fast. It turns out I would have been able to order one anyways as I was up early no matter. If they're still listing the set sign up for an email alert and they may get them back in stock before the sale is over.

Lol, the haunted house isn't even on the website anymore.. Do they think we're just dumb, or do they want to stop taking 'email me when its back in stock' requests?

Though I`m disappointed about not getting the Haunted House, I did manage to obtain 3 Elrond figs...for free!

I've noticed they take out stock products completely off their website and I also can't figure out why. I signed up for email notification even though I don't plan to buy another but I'll post if they do have it in stock before the sale ends.
