Think twice before adding a regular priced item to your order just to get the $5 code to work. Chapters will distribute the $5 across your entire order, so you won't get the full price of that item back if you decide to return it.

Yes but if the item you return is significantly less that your purchase total a small percentage will be taken off yes. Say 10%. So it might be beneficial if you had multiple orders.

I know its a faint hope, but I am hoping that this issue is caused by the free shipping promo, and that when that ends the $5 off thing will start to work on sale items again.
