Re: Chapters / Indigo - Lego 30% off!!!
Chapters sucked me into making yet another order; the 30% off and a free polybag was too much to resist.
Thanks for the heads up Marko723.

Ditto here! I've bought 6 hobbit/Monster lego sets and each of them will be brought back at TRU and WM with receipts I've kept in case I'd find them cheaper. You helped me at getting some precious money back.Claybricks wrote:...

Ditto on the TRU returns. I would love to see a "Thanks" button on this site, I really appreciate all the deals posted.TRUKLEDOG_13 wrote:Ditto here! I'm glad everyone is finding good value with this post. I'm hoping that with all the sales Chapters considers expanding their LEGO sets selection. Someone needs to take TRU down a few notches.
Re: Chapters / Indigo - Lego 30% off!!!
Totally agree, if TRU keep marking up their prices with their crappy buy 1 get 1 half off or 20% off sales, we can expect them to start closing down like Bestbuys, worst, they will become history like Zellers and all those that went down before them. Sad to see another competitor go down, but anyone know you can not compete by raising prices.Marko723 wrote:I'm glad everyone is finding good value with this post. Re: Chapters / Indigo - Lego 30% off!!!
Competing doesn't necessarily have to be about undercutting prices either. Better service or selection, location etc will do. Its a shame that things cost more in Canada, but minimum wage, etc is higher too.
Anyway, back to the thread - thanks for posting Marko!
I bought 4 of the small lego Friends sets ($13ish ones) and Friends treehouse x2 for girlfriend and her sister.
Lex Luthor power armor, Catwoman cycle chase, and Captain America cycle sets for me. I think I will go back and get a seaside house too.

What's the deal with ebates.. never heard of it.
I finally cracked and bought my first Friends set. Olivia's House. I think it will be hard to ever get that set for 30% off again...

I know that's a theme aimed at girls, but I'm kinda tempted also to pick that set up...that and the Summer Riding Camp set...I feel odd now...Jasper Parnebrick wrote:What's the deal with ebates.. never heard of it.

Seems to be and it's 11:04 Mountain Time so I'm not sure which time zone they're going by. Marko said it ended today (March 20) so jump on it if you're thinking about it before it's gone.zmaster18 wrote:Is the NEWSITE code still active?

Ahh I thought it was already done on the 19th! Oh well, I already bought 2 Helm's Deep and that's enough! I need to stop spending so much every week on Chapters!!
Re: Chapters / Indigo - Lego 30% off!!!
ebates is like one of those click through affiliate programs where if you make a purchase after clicking through their site they will pay you a percentage in cash back. Chapters is a participating store and I believe it was anywhere between 3.5% to 10% during a promotion in early March.Jasper Parnebrick wrote:What's the deal with ebates.. never heard of it.
Let me know if you need a referral ID I can PM you one =)

The NEWSITE promo code seems to be still valid as of 1:30 pm EST on the 21st.
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?
Re: Chapters / Indigo - Lego 30% off!!!
darn lego sales!!!! i cant afford anything lol.
Re: Chapters / Indigo - Lego 30% off!!!
I came out of my dark ages last year and am hooked bad. I can't even keep up with building, my purchases are piling up. Picked up a few Friends sets too, but I'm saving those for my daughter who's just too young to play with it at this time. So addictive.
Re: Chapters / Indigo - Lego 30% off!!!
Ebates current percentage for Chapters is 2.5%, there was a double cash back earlier this month making it 5%. GreatCanadianRebates.ca is another site, their percentage for Chapters is 3.5%. I can PM a referral ID for this site if you need it. I wish I had known about these cash back sites before, I've spent so much online and could have gotten alot of money back to help support my Lego habit...hahaha.darbee wrote:ebates is like one of those click through affiliate programs where if you make a purchase after clicking through their site they will pay you a percentage in cash back. Re: Chapters / Indigo - Lego 30% off!!!
I've been mostly using Great Canadian Rebates over the last couple of years. Only just signed up for eBates to take advantage of the bonus (or double ) rebates they have from time to time.
Re: Chapters / Indigo - Lego 30% off!!!
I agree, but TRU has a habit of inflating their prices on "exclusive" sets past the MSRP price.supercal wrote:Competing doesn't necessarily have to be about undercutting prices either. Another retail store needs to break that 'exclusive' (Lets jack the price past MSRP) attitude.
I have a couple module sets I plan on purchasing during the double VIP points event directly from LEGO. I'd rather give my business directly to LEGO opposed to TRU

Same here man... I've got lots of VIP points and want to get that Frigate :) Gonna crack on the HH or the Horizon Express. Hey, does anybody know if VIP points earned in Canada can be redeemed in the US stores? Its probably been addressed before somewhere. given the 20% price increase it might be worth the drive to Rochester :)Marko723 wrote: I have a couple module sets I plan on purchasing during the double VIP points event directly from LEGO.
