So far the best price for EV3 is at costco.ca for $339.99 cdn plus taxes (15% off). Comes out to $384.20.

Slightly better than buying EV3 at bn.com for $350US which coupons cannot be applied . For canadians, comes out to $374.30 USD shipped or about $394 cdn based on 1.05 exchange rate.

by the way, if canadians have not notice, bn.com has the 3 new 2013 LOTR sets (pirate ship, black gate, council) and coupons can be applied - they are the only sets I am aware of other than architecture studio that coupons can be used for. Comes out to about 30% off for the pirate ship compared with cdn MSRP but unfortunately 15% off is not worth it for me on the LOTR sets so will be waiting and hoping for for better discounts (like a 20% off coupon code).

Ricefields, where can you get the coupons for bn.com (barns and noble right?). Are there shipping costs and customs etc... ? I would want to get that ship if it works out to be 30% off. Thanks

shipping cost is cheap at 6.48, no customs, but you have to pay GST. However, coupons cannot be used on mindstorm ev3

buy it through bn.com. you only pay $10 extra but you can make that back through cashback. bn.com used to be on popular cashback sites like big crumbs and ebates, and then that ended a year or two ago. I found one site called cashbackhouse.com that still ofers 4.5% off for bn.com where most sites have nothing for bn.com purchases. So for a $350 usd purchase, you can get $15usd back, so in the end buying at bn.com can be cheaper when considering the cashback

Pulled the trigger, as I was not sure that Costco.ca would get the English Version back in stock. Best part is Costco's return policy, so if I ever do find an English EV3 for the same price, this one goes back to Costco... :)

I think no need to panic yet on Costco. I think they would get more English versions before Christmas.

Here's another reason at bn.com to make the ev3 purchase even cheaper. the kids club rewards apply to this so you can get $5 off for every $100 or more of eligible purchases. I bought the architecture studio and got $5 back from that which will be saved towards my purchase of ev3. Expecting to get two more $5 after buying ev3 and selling them on ebay. I also think chaptersindigo will likely have a % discount coupon code to use before Christmas and hopefully they get their ev3 restocked too.
