Las Vegas Fashion Show Mall opening

I am very very excited about this one! Its the only other Lego Store I will visit with some regularity outside of Canada. I cant make it to opening day at the end of April, but can someone post some pics of this event and the store? That way I dream and plan my next Vegas get away! (Hmmmm.....slots or Lego, slots or Lego......)

The first LEGO Store in Nevada, United States will be having its grand opening celebration this weekend! The Las Vegas Fashion Show Mall LEGO Store will have the following promo giveaways during grand opening weekend in addition to the traditional master builds. This time, it will be an 8-foot tall R2-D2 Model.

If your planning a trip to Las Vegas this weekend, make sure to pop by (especially on Saturday for their LEGO Store set).

April 25-27 Great Hall, Fashion Show, Las Vegas, NV

The first 300 customer will receive the following:

Friday 11am-7pm: Free Collectible Child Size LEGO T-Shirt with a $50 purchase!
Saturday 10am-6pm: Free Limited-Edition LEGO Store Set with a $75 purchase
Sunday 11am-5pm: Free Exclusive LEGO Minifigure Set with a $50 purchase!

How are these, usually? Do people wait in line for hours or is it more reasonable?

it was a joke today. Waited in line for 1 hour just to go into the store. hilariously long line for people just shuffling in and out and not buying anything. built part of the r2d2 today though... so that was fun.

^ That's too bad. The opening of the Danbury Fair store in Danbury, CT was really busy, but the line to enter moved very quickly and yet people were buying a TON. You never can tell with these events, I guess.

I doubt they created any Vegas exclusive products.

GF got me the 853317: I (love) NY Figure Magnet when she went NY last year, I know that one is a Rockefeller exclusive. She also was told they had a keychain but it was sold out at that time.

Wow they raised the prices for the free with purchase items. I guess this is to prevent people from getting multiples of the Brand Store set and minifigures.

I wish I joined this site sooner! I went to vegas like 2 weeks ago and looked at that mall thinking, I'm pretty sure they don't have a LEGO store. Oh well. There's always a next time.
