Interesting, I had one of the exact same piece that wouldn't quite fit. I tried to figure out where it was wrong and took a 2x2 brick and was able to attach it to every single spot, yet it wouldn't fit with the piece that it needed to.

I did the same thing! It fit like half way and never fully in the design, or on a big plate, but it connects fine to smaller pieces everywhere I connected it. I think part of the curve section was off. Interesting that only one of the four pieces in the set didn't work. You would think if there was a bad batch that all four in the set would be messed up, not one in mine and one in yours.

I got out of work early today and bopped over to the Walmart nearest my house. I continued my streak of finding Clearance sets while I was there, purchasing 70706 Crater Creeper for $9.00 USD.

As some of you may know TRU clearance event is apparently ending on 8/2/14.
I bought two 10223- Kingdoms Joust when it was 40% off, but now brown clearance is 80% off, so I decided to take a big risk and I returned my 2 sets last night to re-purchase them today.

I was very lucky, I found them on the shelf.
This time I paid $22.50 each.
To say that I was happy would be an understatement :-D

During the TRU clearance I picked up three of the Chima combo pack 66474 for $12.10 each (90% off the slightly higher 120.99 MSRP) and the Kre-o Transformers Devastator TRU exclusive for $2.99 (95% off 59.99).

This summer, between clearances/sales/discounts I have done great with Lego purchases.
Went to LEGOLAND Fl found 2 Exo-Suits.
Then as we were heading out of the park I saw the Big Kmart across the street.
I decided to go there and check the Lego section, just for fun.
Well it turns out the Kmart is closing so they had toys at 25% off.
Not a big deal by itself, but when you find a 7081: Emmet's Construct-o-Mech with 25% off on top of rewards points and surprise points now that is awesome!

Walked away with this baby for $19.06 after tax

My son got Mixels for $3.74

Not really a steal but a lucky find nonetheless. Was leaving TRU tonight and spotted a LOTR set in the carts with the returned items - 9473 Mines of Moria. It was $80, MSRP but cheaper than it goes for on the secondary market right now. Used my TRU credit card to get $8 off, got the Chima polybag along with it. Checked it out more thoroughly in my car, everything was intact, cave troll and all.

If I were you I might want to check the content in the box, it could be cereal for all I know. Or it could be Megabloks, Kre-o, Knex stuff inside, anything but lego. But if you did open and everything is there, then congralations, you hit a jetpot!

I did. It was missing 3 wing pieces (I ordered new ones for $5 on Lego.com), and the info plaque.

I just picked up 75020 (Jabba's Sail Barge) for $49 at Walmart! Shelf tag said $89 so make sure to scan sets for price updates.

I got a bin of Lego for $20. Some notable sets are the Freeco speeder, A-wing, UFO mothership, and Dobby's Release. I also found a Whitecap Bay set, but it's only a few parts and a couple of the minifigs. It looks like they are far from complete though so I will have to just separate them out.

I'm always torn with these lots though since I want to complete the sets, but it would cost too much.

I was able to grab a handful of the Lego - Stars Wars Ghost - 75053, matching the error in the weekly ad. (19.88, when MSRP is 89.99)

Not sure how this price can really be beaten for 929 bricks in the set.

If you didnt hear, Walmart put the Star Wars Phantom on Roll Back for the week. (From 24.99 - 19.88)

The ad included a picture of the Ghost though. (box showing set number, total bricks etc)

Sounds like some stores honored the pricing error from the ad, while others didn't. I guess I got quite lucky, as the staff at my Walmart were very helpful, and seemed excited for me to get such a great deal. But as it seems like each store is handling this differently, YMMV. (I grabbed the ad just off a stand in the entry way to the store, no way you will have success without the printed ad in my opinion as it rings up at the retail of 89.99)

The other Walmart in my area had signs up in the LEGO aisle that the ad was an error, and the sets seemed to have been pulled for the week….. (til the ad expires is my guess)
