I received my invite finally (it is the first time I was invited). And this is for Canada but should be the same for US.

For the vip invitee, the following will be available based on speaking with a lego store csr.

They will be offering the 2 of 2 Christmas set when spending $99
they will provide free gift
They will have sales
They will have 2x vip ( :( was hoping for 3x vip)
you are allowed to invite one guest
maximum 5 quantities of the same item
for Christmas exclusives, only one per customer - already got my santa workshop in the first 2xvip promotion though
$5000 maximum that you can spend before taxes
have to show up at your designated store between 800-900am on Nov 22

In past years (from researching this), they offered a holiday PAB box and another to fill later if you spend over a certain amount. Also, past years had a mystery voucher. Not just what to expect as this is all new to me.

I'm just curious what kind of discounts they'd offer. I really hope it's greater than 20%. Darn, I had hoped for 3x VIP. My store said btwn 8-9am though.

Sounds exactly the same as last year minus the PAB box. Isadlymi did more buying online than I store so I will likely not get an invite this year...

I'm calling the free gift as one of the 2015 calendars that's free with purchase now.

There's no set criteria to invites, some believe it's tied to $ spent at stores, likely also factors in completing the surveys on the receipts and there may be a degree of manager preference.

Last year the sales were better than those on BF if I recall, so hoping for the same TY.

Went to Yorkdale LY, TY going to Sherway.

I got invited to sherway which is out of the way considering I live in Richmond hill. I don't know why I was invited but the only thing I recall buying was 3 x special edition technic pickup trucks last year (sadly I sold them off without keeping one for myself); that's only $750 and surprised that would make me top 25. My invitation came via email.

Looks like triple points are over now... plus no PAB offer?
Its getting worse every year and I wouldn't be surprise if S@H not going to offer 2x vip points next year since they had a record year
I have to admit they have one of the best customer services in the business and never had a problem it.
Hopefully something good comes up in boxing day but I highly doubt it.

Yeah, it's looking like no PAB this time. My luck...seeing how this would be a first for me. I'd hope they'd reward their VIPs a little bit better - please let the free gift not be a calendar...lol.

True, a record year, ousting Mattel as the top toy manufacturer and being touted as the most infuential toy of all time - I'd hoped for more, but we'll see what comes of it.

Are the sales usually very good?

Last year was pretty crap, the whole VIP thing simply just mean you get the first drop on sales. Basically, VIP shop an hour earlier than those that did not get an invite. Unless they are giving out something special this year, else, it is a YAWN on receiving the invite or not.

Our free gift last year was a scratch card, which netted us a keychain. My daughter chose a chrome/gold one and she was thrilled. I hid my disappointment well.

S@H counts too, if you are VIP, they have all the shopping info they need to send invites.

Anyone in the US get an invitation? It is in 4 days and I haven't seen much info. What is the color of the invite? What is the postmark? I've gone the past few years, but haven't heard anything yet so I'm curious.

Just my 2 cents - I received an invite to the Sherway store this year. I also had one in 2012 but did not receive one in 2013.

Honestly was not expecting an invite, as my LEGO shopping this year has been much, much less than previous years. Certainly less than 2013 when I did not get an invite.

There are 2 criteria that I think might have gotten me an invite - one, we usually go each month for the MMB and usually make a small purchase (brick cup, $20-$30 set) so it could be frequency of visits, or the other things is that I have a cr*pload of VIP points ($230) that I have yet to spend. So I'm wondering if they look at VIP points as the qualifier, not purchases (which basically equate, I suppose).

Not sure if I'll go on Saturday or not, doesn't seem like there's much worth going for but will have to see.
