Interesting that its listed as sold out already. The set was released around January 2014. I'm assuming that sales weren't too good for this set.

Thanks for the heads-up. I've been waiting for my double-points order through LEGO, but it appears that they cancelled the order without any notification. Would have stung to miss this set!

really fun to build with only a few small stickers! One of my all time favorite lego sets. 6 cannons!!

I don't invest anymore but if I did I'd be sitting on a lot of Metalbeard's Sea Cow!

I was able to buy a nice home and help put my wife through graduate school from selling sealed Wolverine Chopper Showdown,Hogwarts castles, and Black Pearls last 2 years.

I'd rate Metalbeards sea cow much higher than those meaning its probably going to hit 1k as fast as Imperial Flagship or the merry go round did..

Got one from my local store today with double VIP and free x-mas train set. That's my second Sea Cow, first one costed me little less than $200 because box was beat up, I also think it will go up in price, somehow when I first saw this set- it impressed me- size and creativity is what I like

I don't own it but would absolutely LOVE to own it (if only it were cheaper). I love the unrealistic proportions (shortened length in relation to height). I think it will be a big hit in the future even for those that haven't seen the movie.

Looks like TRU in Canada sold out, but Walmart still has them online.
