Are we reporting too much LEGO Reviews and MOC's on our front page these days? Sometimes, there is a shortage of LEGO news. Would you prefer us to not post anything at all? As usual, comments and suggestions are more than welcome.

I don't tend to check out the front page as often as I do the forums, so I don't know if "too much" is going on on a given day. Personally, if there is no other news happening like new set releases or big sales happening, then reporting on a cool MOC or a review is appropriate in my mind. In fact welcomed.

I agree with everything above and would like to add that anything having to do with the hobby that's noteworthy is newsworthy. If there's not a lot of news regarding new sets coming out (since we're kinda past the new releases) or slow on sales and deals (which it seems is the case right now) then I think it makes sense to have some regularly updated content on the homepage deal with other aspects of the hobby. I think other than the reviews and MOCs, the only hot button topic right now is CMFs2 finds.

same thing with me, I have a shortcut to the forum and that's what I check, I don't check the frontage at all usually.

I still think that sales should be the top priority of the site to report, but I don't think that it's necessarily bad that you report new reviews on the front page, or noteworthy MOCs. I think that with the contest still going on though you could pull back on updating the front page from some of the smaller sets for now, since so many larger sets are being reviewed.

In my opinions reviews are nice only if they are about sets that are just released. For sets that have been on shelves for weeks or months, it's not that useful to me.

Agreed. A little less reviews. But always post MOCs. They're cool to look at

However, not everyone buys sets when they first come out, and some people (like myself) may not buy a set until it goes on sale or clearance, which could be months later, so some people might find those reviews useful.

Also remember right now there is a contest going on for people who post reviews, so you are seeing a much higher number of reviews then you normally would. The reviews should taper off some come September 1. :D

Actually, I am happy with what the front page has been done. It is a good way to let me know what is up with the content in the forums (I bookmarked the front page instead of forum).

In here, I would like to express my appreciation for the person who put effort in keeping the update of those latest "Sales and Deal" notice and others news. Thank you.

It's nice to have something new to read. I can not afford all the new sets, so the reviews are great. As far as the MOC's go, I think credit should go to the people that with that much creativity.

Just to add to my comments earlier in this topic, reviews and MOCs and anything else LEGO-related deserves to be a news article. The forum isn't the only area where you can generate search hits, and anything you post to the front page will get you hits. Also, the dearth of news articles at other sites (that might begin with an F and could end with a BTB - not to disparage another site, but seriously, it's like the homepage is updated every six months!) makes the 'front page' kinda pointless and annoying to look at. I want to see something new at least once a week, if not more often, for me to actually bother checking it out. If I notice the front page not being maintained regularly, I tend to bypass it and go straight to the forum.
