Lego 6034 - Black Monarch's Ghost
Hi,
I'm looking for a brand new Black Monarch's Ghost, Lego 6034. I believe this may be the very first Lego set I had growing up.
Would anyone happen to have this just laying around? Private message me and let's see if we can make a trade for a more modern set, or "dollar bills yo".
Thanks!

Hi m19, I did check but was disappointed to see that the price increased by about a factor of 10. I know it's an old, old set, but the markup is incredible...makes me want to hold onto some sets now and sell them in 30 years...thanks for writing!

Your two options if you are worried about the price is either buying it used, or buying the parts individually. Though you may be able to find a slightly better deal on a new one if you are patient and want to check ebay everyday for the next few years.jmeninno wrote:Hi m19, I did check but was disappointed to see that the price increased by about a factor of 10. Doing a quick search shows that you can get it for around 10 bucks used without the box and instructions. Seems like a cheap and easy solution.
The other option is to buy the parts individually. I didn't look into the prices of specific parts but if you are ok with a slightly different knight and/or a different ghost figure you can probably save some money that way.
..but really...10-15 bucks used for a set you want that came out in 1990 seems like a no brainer. Do you really need the instructions?
Also, 1990 was your first set and you are calling it an "old, old set"...I don't think I'm old but you are making me feel that way.

Whoops, sorry lego the hutt. Didn't realize I had used two "olds"...I'm almost 30, so a childhood set, compared to all of the lines of Lego out there now, makes it seem worthy of two "olds"...I guess I missed out on "old, old sets"... :P
I'm not huge into buying used, but I am considering it due to the price. I've also thought about bricklinking it. Or saving a search in ebay and waiting patiently, as I do for other hobbies on mine involving ebay.
