I was at Barnes and Noble today, and they have buy one, get one 50% off on educational toys (including Lego). And it works with the 30% coupon! So you can get 1 at 50% off, then 1 at 30% off ( then you get an extra 10% off with your membership card). I think this runs through the end of the weekend (nov 25th)

You can't beat this deal

Picked up a City Garbage Truck and the 9490 Droid Escape for ~$26. Most of their selection had been pretty picked over by the time I got out there.

I think you got lucky. Over on Slickdeals there are a whole bunch of people complaining about CSRs denying them, explaining that it was one or the other. I used the 30% off today. Now I'm thinking I should have tried for a set at 50% off to go with it. YMMV I think.

I went by 3 different B&N's. No problem stacking discounts at the first one. The second and third denied. One girl said that it would be "too good of a deal" and I said, "You mean like a Black friday deal." She looked a little irritated for a second, but she saw that I was joking and went with it. I wish there was some consistency between the stores, but what can you do. Why is it every time I get rung up by a 20 to 30 something year old, nerdy looking girl I get denied?

I was able to stack the 30% and the BOGO 50% with my 10% membership discount. Used it to buy the Hogwarts castle that I have been eyeing.

tried both discounts and csr accepted them at bn store in troy, michigan. I even stretched the "education toys" restriction as I bought the architecture series which did not have the red promo signs at the shelf they were sitting on.

remember to buy the gift card for $75 first to get the $10 free gift card, then use the $75 towards your purchase immediately.
