(Winnipeg) Walmart Clearance

Post by nami » Wed Mar 13, 2013 2:50 pm

Just me back Walmart Polo Park in Winnipeg. Ninjago Epic Dragon Battle was $98 (on clearance) and is now $60. Same goes for Lego City "The Mine". Was $98 down to $60. Should start dropping across the country I imagine. Picked up 2 of each, 1 to build, and 1 to keep sealed.

I think the mine was $70 or $75 in ontario walmarts a few weeks ago. Its possible they may have dropped more.

I'm in Ontario and there is 15 Epic Dragon Battles for $85 that no one has touched yet! And they've been on clearance for a few weeks! I'm expecting them to get down to $60 soon. Is this set even a good investment at $60? It really looks like there isn't much of a demand for it! Also seeing a ton of unsold The Mines for full retail still!

I don't think the Dragon in the set is very popular, but some of the mini figures are definitely worth getting.

Epic Dragon Battles was hard to find before Christmas, so I assumed it was a popular gift. When it was OOS, I saw few craigslist sellers successfully sold the set around $165 to $180. Currently, it is not shopping season, and that's why you could see many of them on the shelves. After Christmas, there was a hugh shipment came to my local Walmart, and those were sold out in 2 weeks. Thus the sales volume varied city to city.

Don't bother trying the polo Walmart. Nothing and not even a sign of them anymore. Was just there.

Wednesday mid afternoon after I bought 1 of each there was still 7 Epic Dragon Battles and 2 of The Mine. They were on the endcap at the front of the toy section.

Totally agree! If we do not buy, then they will drop, since they need their shelf space when the new sets start comming in.
