Re: Arkham Asylum 10937
I keep going back and forth about whether or not to pick it up. While the overall design is pretty cool, I agree that the brick count seems high for the size to the point that they almost seem like they were actively trying to artificially inflate the count to charge more. The other thing is that wh...

Re: 2013 Helping Friendly Crystal Ball- a look beyond
NO matter how many 70503 and 76000 customers buy, Lego can easily replenish global quantities within hours! AND YET THEY'RE NOT NIMBLE ENOUGH TO PUT THE HIATUS ON A REAL STINKER LIKE CHIMA SPEEDORZ. THEY PRACTICALLY GAVE AWAY WAVE 1, BUT COULDN'T STOP PRODUCTION ON WAVE 2. Practically? More like li...

Re: June 2013 Sales Offers: LEGO Shop at Home
I just put in an order less than an hour ago and I definitely had both in my cart when I checked out. It's possible the overlap is dead now?

Re: LEGO 8827 Minifigures Series 6 (January)
TRU must have gotten them -- a couple boxes it looked like at my TRU -- on the truck Thursday. My boys and I went there and felt our way through what was left to score all 16. They were $3.49, but with my TRU bonus bucks ($5x3) they ended up being $2.55 ea. The boys chipped in a little Christmas mo...

Re: Lurkers in the Forum
So perhaps certain people aren't posting a lot right now but they might in the future, if you cut them off then all you're doing is stifling the growth of this board. Really? There are 21 people who have been here since 2009 that have ZERO posts. Do you think they even know they have accounts? That...

Re: Lurkers in the Forum
None of these ideas are really going to work. Anything you do to restrict viewing the sales and deals part of the forum is going to drive people away and the more people that are driven away, the less likely the website will grow and get new deal info. Then as the deals are drying up the original po...

Re: Emerald Night Train (10194) - $87.15 from Amazon 13% off
I've ordered 3 sets from Amazon Warehouse deals now. 2 of the 3 were still sealed in nearly pristine boxes with only slight creasing on the box. The third's box was only slightly crushed. None were missing a single thing from their box. One of the pristine boxes was a 7676 Republic Gunship I ordere...

Re: Do you save the boxes?
I keep most of my boxes unless they're tear open type boxes like the battle packs. Of course I don't keep the sets in the boxes though, I break them down and keep them folded next to my collection.
