Re: [USA] Walmart Minifigures Series 3 Available Now in stor
Bleh it appears it's too early for the southeast. I've checked walmarts from NC to GA on my way home and nothing yet.
Re: [USA] Walmart Minifigures Series 3 Available Now in stor
That's only if you can't find it cheaper elsewhere, which is almost universally not the case. Walmart might have the cheapest standard price (by two cents) but very rarely have any notable sales. The only sets I've bought from Walmart have been Prince of Persia clearances, and the Build-a-Zurg at $12/piece. TRU, which is probably the single greatest object of almost every LEGO enthusiast's ire, has had MUCH better prices/sales than WM this past year. The best thing I've seen at WM this year, aside from the aforementioned PoP clearances and the BaZ, were some $5 rollbacks on $25 sets, which was immediately matched or outmatched by Amazon.natelite wrote:coz i only care for the cheapest lego i can find. :D
Regardless of their prices on LEGO, however, my objection to shopping at Walmart is because of the way they undercut other stores and yet also undercut their employees. Their business tactics are so underhanded that I feel morally obligated to not shop there.

Available at LEGOLAND CA. So are series 2. Buckets of them-plus they have a trading program (series 3 is 3 dollars a bag).
Re: [USA] Walmart Minifigures Series 3 Available Now in stor
I saw the remains of them at Walmart today. The whole selection was entirely worked over and I think I ended up with four tennis players which blows. This is one of those moments where I feel bad for kids.
Re: LEGO 8803 Collectable Minifigures Series 3 Availability
Saw my first glimpse of CMFs3 in the wild today at TRU in Poughkeepsie. I inquired how much they were, in the hopes that my store in the boonies realized 100% markup is a bit tough to swallow, but the answer was $3.99 per, so I just made a "PFFFT" sound and left.
Re: LEGO 8803 Collectable Minifigures Series 3 Availability
Heh. I'm going to get the ones I want now so that I don't have to deal with the high prices later. Just need space villain and elf.vynsane wrote:Saw my first glimpse of CMFs3 in the wild today at TRU in Poughkeepsie. Thanks gabriellee11 for the response, I checked a couple WMs in Sacramento today and no sign yet as far as I can tell, I even snooped around the pallets in and around the toy section that had not been unloaded yet. The only place I have seen them up here is still TRU for $3.99. I really hope the Lego Stores keep them @ $1.99 but I bet they wont last long at that price if everyone else is $1-$2 higher, and of course they keep saying not until January every time I have asked. I really thought Target would get them in with the Christmas stuff like Series 2 at Halloween. Oh Well.

I'm kinda wishing they would show up around here AFTER christmas. I mean these would make perfect stocking stuffers for christmas.. and I just can't fathom some child getting a Fisherman without knowing it's true value LOL.
Re: LEGO 8803 Collectable Minifigures Series 3 Availability
Yeah, but any AFOL who truly wants one could get it from BL or some other place, while the child is happy that he gets a guy with a beard and a fishing pole. But I guess that they would run out if they appear before then.oocaleb101oo wrote:I'm kinda wishing they would show up around here AFTER christmas. Just a quick note if anyone is willing to pay the Toys R Us price of $3.99 per fig on their website. They apparently have fixed the exhorbinant shipping costs associated with buying them online. I added 50 to my cart and the S&H total was only $9.99.

That's good to know, but heck if you put over 50 in the cart i figure shipping would be free!stocktheodds wrote:Just a quick note if anyone is willing to pay the Toys R Us price of $3.99 per fig on their website. I got all I wanted from my Meijer a couple weeks ago, and since then the spot they had them has been empty, so i fear they will not get anymore from there.
I am glad i got a lot of them at 1.99 since it seems i wont be able to do that anywhere else.

just an FYI for those looking at meijer's.....my stores, which are the 3 stated previously started with them in the xmas/stocking stuffer area....I have since also spotted them in the collectible card area ie pokemon/baseball, etc. I thought it was pretty common knowledge these were available at miejer for some time now.....I got mine like a month ago....

Reported my finding on the 6th, so I think they were trickling in over time.pumbaugh wrote:just an FYI for those looking at meijer's.....my stores, which are the 3 stated previously started with them in the xmas/stocking stuffer area....I have since also spotted them in the collectible card area ie pokemon/baseball, etc. I thought it was pretty common knowledge these were available at miejer for some time now.....I got mine like a month ago....

Since Wal-Mart had S2 for less than $2.00, we could have only hoped they wouldn't go up like at the other big box stores. Alas, Wal-Mart has joined the price increase.vynsane wrote:We also have to consider that Walmart is ever only going to be a few cents less than the competition on anything - they see other retailers selling them for $2.99, and say "why should we only get $1.99 when we can get almost the same amount as them?" so they have it for $2.97.hardtravelinghero wrote:Natelite, looks like it might be true, though plenty of us figured it was the typical TRU mark-up and that Target saw they could make a little more too (dunno if Borders ever had them for less than $3.99), but if Wal-Mart is in on it, perhaps it is the dreaded increase.ALWAYS THE CHEAPEST PRICES by two cents (I despise Walmart).
I try to avoid Wal-Mart like the devil, which was hard when they had the Clone Turbo Tank online for $79.00 with free Site-to-Store shipping. Not only do their business practices generally suck (not that most large and small corporations don't also suck, even our beloved Target), but why does it always take twenty minutes to check out no matter how many lines are open? Why?
Luckily, come 1 January I plan to be on Long Island and at the Roosevelt Field Mall Lego Store to use my free pick-a-brick box from Black Friday and hopefully they will have MF3 for $1.99. I'm somewhat worried since someone mentioned Legoland CA having them for $2.99, but perhaps that is a typical Theme Park mark-up? Are all of their prices higher than MSRP?
Again, I want more value if we're getting charged more, even if the MFs are the most expensive component of any set, because of their paint applications, according to Standing Small.

Have you seen Series 1 show up again? There was rumor that Miejer had them again recently.ncbarrett wrote:Reported my finding on the 6th, so I think they were trickling in over time.pumbaugh wrote:just an FYI for those looking at meijer's.....my stores, which are the 3 stated previously started with them in the xmas/stocking stuffer area....I have since also spotted them in the collectible card area ie pokemon/baseball, etc. I thought it was pretty common knowledge these were available at miejer for some time now.....I got mine like a month ago....

It's probably 3 or 4 dollars. The LEGOLAND prices are not necessarily the same as those at stores, but I doubt that they will have them so cheap.hardtravelinghero wrote:Since Wal-Mart had S2 for less than $2.00, we could have only hoped they wouldn't go up like at the other big box stores. Went to 2 walmarts in the last 2 days in Henderson, NV. Struck out at the first and found 4 cases at the second one. Price was 2.97.
