Toysrus.com listing lots of old sets

Post by brickz » Thu Dec 23, 2010 12:08 pm

I don't know whats going on with toysrus.com, but they're listing a whole bunch of old star wars, batman, city, mars mission, agents, and more sets out of stock. Republic gunship, hoth rebel base, coast guard, the tumbler, old trains to name a few. Might be worth checking the site frequently to see if it changes from out of stock to instock.

I noticed the Batman sets a few weeks ago. Has anyone found them in their local stores? That would be an amazing find.

There were 3 listed on Toysrus.com but they were not available for online ordering, but you could search for in store availability. No stores withing the maximum search range from me had availability, I was wondering if anyone else had any other luck. I don't see them listed anymore, It was probably an old listing that was never removed.

I'm pretty certain that this is a glitch, like the Mars Rover on target.com.

Apparently TRU closed a few TRU Express stores, so that is probably why we saw a few discontinued sets pop back online... I know I got 3 items from TRU online that were discontinued before they disappeared again... I've heard of stories of magical Indiana Jones finds in stores... I checked mine today, but the TRU Express in Dothan apparently wasn't closed (even though last time i checked their store had junk for stock).

Figured that would be the most logical explanation for what happened.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.
