TJ Maxx Legos
My local TJ Maxx had several lego sets this past week. The only thing I've ever found there before was the castle brickmaster book but this time they had some actual sets. I can't remember now what all they had but a few things certainly stand out. They had the Star Wars brickmaster book for $15. My son had been waiting for this, so he was thrilled. They also had the castle one but it was $16.99. They had the Kingdoms wizard and jester sets for $2.99. The small city farm set. I can't think of what exactly its called but the one that's comparable in size to the wizard and jester set. It was also $2.99.
That's the main details I remember. They did have a couple power miner sets (magma mech and one other larger one) but I don't remember the price. They also had some of the lego Racer sets. Some small ones but also a larger one I hadn't seen before.
The main point is... if you have a TJ Maxx close to you, it wouldn't hurt to check it out!

Thanks for the tip! I have a few of them around me, but it never occurred to me to check them for Legos.

Don't forget Marshall's. It carries the same stock as TJ Maxx. Same company.
Re: TJ Maxx Legos
You certainly got a deal on that Book. It costs 30 dollars in stores, and it's really not worth that much. 15, on the other hand, is a fantastic price.turtle1173 wrote:My local TJ Maxx had several lego sets this past week. the brickmaster books are available at barnes & noble with the 50%-off coupon that's floating around right now, so at $15 with the coupon.
Re: TJ Maxx Legos
I'll have to check Marshalls/TJMaxx (and Home Goods too) the next time I'm there. Over Christmas I only found Bionicle but it was promising to see some Lego there.

I just tried that coupon code and it didn't work. I wonder if they turned it off.lady_bricker wrote:the brickmaster books are available at barnes & noble with the 50%-off coupon that's floating around right now, so at $15 with the coupon.

My wife actually found these the week before Christmas. She picked up the Separatist Shuttle, and listed off a whole bunch of Space Police, Star Wars, Atlantis, and Power Miners sets that they had. I've checked a few TJ Maxx stores since Christmas, and there are still a few sets floating around, but these went fast when they were first put out and haven't really been restocked that I've noticed.

Was at my TJX yesterday and found a few Lego sets. The prices were a little on the high side. Maybe they will mark them down in time. I did get some Batman Lego there several years ago. That was a good find.

I was in a Marshall's yesterday so I walked through the toy section. The Brickmaster books were 15, but some were marked down to $12 because they were a little beat up. If you find one at full price and it has some shelf wear, ask them to discount it. 90% of the time they will do it for you.

They started getting some in for Christmas, but I figured they would be cleared out by now. They were all 25% which isn't that great. I did get the wizard for $3.
Re: TJ Maxx Legos
Last week I got two each of the Pirate and Castle Brickmaster books, and one of the Star Wars, all on clearance at Marshall's for $12. The seal had been broken on both Castle books, but the brick packs and minifigs were sealed and accounted for, and the other books were perfect. I also picked up the City Garage (7642) for $60, but it was the only one they had.
Marshall's in Louisville, KY.
