new info + Picture
Definitely some interesting news. Nice to have the theme of the Forbidden Forest set confirmed. I'm really hoping that since he mentioned Hagrid, that he's actually in the set itself. Definitely sounds like he got Sprout confused for Minerva, and the new student sounds like it'll be Neville.

With the new info, here's my guesses/assumptions as to the minifigures (minus animals and other creatures) for each set:

Forbidden Forest:
-Harry Potter
-Hagrid
-Voldemort
-Narcisa Malfoy

Knight Bus:
-Harry potter
-Stan Shunpike
-Ernie Prang

Battle for Hogwarts:
-Harry Potter
-Neville Longbottom
-Pr.Sprout
-Voldemort
-Snape

That's 12, maybe the BfH set has more than that. I would love it if Hagrid was in the FF set, but I have a bad feeling he won't be. I put Snape in the BfH set because of that leaked photo of the four minifigs. Would be nice, since I don't have a new Snape, but I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't in the set.

Can't wait to finally see pictures of these sets. Will have to find a way to get my mind off these sets between now and then or I'll go crazy, lol.

That's quite small. Was that seen at the Toy Fair?

hogwarts looks ridonkously lame...not much playability and likely an add-on for last year's release like the chamber of secrets for the first hogwarts. However, at least chamber of secrets was somewhat impressive. This isn't.

The Chamber of Secrets was quite large. While I like the Hogwarts castles, I'd love to be able to get the characters cheaply, and this is a great way to get a few parts of it as well as some key characters.

That's because the Chambers of Secrets (Which I found for an insanely low price years ago.) was a direct add on to the castle. This new one is a separate set dealing with the finale movie. So there are two castle sets with different price points and if you have them both you can build a bigger castle, but this set really isn't a add-on, it's it's own thing.

I like this set. Although it's probably going to sell for a ridiculous amount with a low piece count and a lot of minifigures. You're right though, this doesn't seem like it has a lot of playability.

Prices suck again for Canada. :( The knight bus is 15% more, and the forbidden forest and battle of hogwarts 30% more.

Hmmm...Forbidden Forest is awfully priced (almost 20 cents per part) and isn't even that good-just a tree. Although getting Voldemort and Bellatrix may make the set worth buying. The Knight Bus is better, and the purple definitely makes it worth it. And there is nothing better than back torso printings, which we get two of! Battle for Hogwarts has the same issue, but a lot of nice parts *Grrrrrrrrrrrr stickers grrrrr*-I see a globe, some railings, an AWESOME dementor, and many other things. I don't like the pit's thing under it (it looks a bit lame) although the attempt isn't awful. Also the price/piece count you listed is incorrect. It's 466 parts for 50 dollars.

Nice selection of minifigs.
Transformers2 wrote:4866 The Knight Bus
Wow, that's certainly purple.
Transformers2 wrote:4867 Battle for Hogwarts
If you add this to the Hogwarts "castle" you might have a nice set.

Yeah the forest set is all about the mini figures, even with the tiny piece count, it's passable because of the minifigures.

It's definitely the battle pack of the Harry Potter world. The Knight's Bus...that just kills me. So many purple pieces but such a terrible set and at a terrible price...

I found the first one for $15-$20 many years ago. It had 5 shades of purple. If LEGo fixed that horrible problem then they are halway there.

Yeah, the design is lame, the PPP is bad, but...purple. And nf particular interest to me, the pieces over the back wheels. That piece is so useful for architecture.

Those arches are great, but sixteen of those pieces are window frames. And I find those to be useless.

I commend LEGO for really nailing it with sets nowdays. High unique minifig ratio that you used to only get with $100 sets. If you want to build larger buildings, buy more bulk bricks.
