The lighthouse is really nice, and I like how they added a minifigure, and the fact he is wearing a new coat. The birds are really nicely designed, I just wish the lighthouse itself was more round.

The only way to get the lighthouse more round with current LEGO designs would to be to use those HUGE large cylinders or design some entirely new pieces. And then the coloring would be really tricky and probably just be stickers. No, I'll stick with this.

As for the minifigure, I'm on the fence about it. I liked the creator 'no minifigure' policy they had before, as I felt the Creator line was really all about 'look what you can do with just the bricks' kind of thing.

Playing with LEGO when I can. Where does the time go?

You can make a round wall by having a 1x2 then a round 1x1 then a 1x2 than a round 1x1. I was hoping they would do that.

And including a minifigure takes away from the bricks?

yeah, Minifigs really don't fit in with the Creator sets, but i guess it's a good way for lego to increase the per piece price for

Minifigures are the most expensive parts of sets, so they add money. But they're great, so usually I'm prepared to shell out a few more dollars for a fig or two.
