I did some digging and found the following info on Brickset and Eurobricks:
TRU item # 578074. You can call your local TRU w/ this number or call 1-800-869-7787. Press 1 then 3 then 2. Give the operator the item # and your zip code and they should be able to look it up for you.
Target DPCI is 204 00 0463. Apparently someone took the UPC # to Target and had them check for the DPCI number. It is in the system but no stock yet. But that is promising at least.
I called the TRU # and the couldn't locate them in my area.

edit: the person i spoke to when I called the 1800 number said it wasn't in the system yet - this was before i gave a zipcode. You got really lucky!

The person did say, "are these lego minifigures?"after she did her search so I think she really looked. But for some reason she asked me for my name and phone #, which I thought was weird. This was the first time I've callled the 800 # for a stock check. I'll probably call my store directly going forward.

My store staff is generally very helpful, I have never called the 800 number. They will generally tell me when an item is due in, or when it will be unloaded off the trailer. I always politely ask if they can tell me if an item is in stock using the toys R us item number. Then again I have a feeling they call me the "lego guy" as I have generally alerted them as to when to expect new product :) Before I even got to the lego section one of the stockers stopped me and told me he had put them out this morning....of course I had already known that ;)

Eh, after what they did with the CMF3 'bumps' (pulling a switcheroo midway), I'm inclined to just to be a package molester for specific figs....
How many packs come per box, so I know what the damage is... I believe it's right around/above $200 USD?
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

When CMF Series 3 first came out - Toys R Us had them behind the counter and you could only buy 2 at a time - here locally at least. It seems that is not the "case" (hehe) this time.

I have a feeling due to the time frame they may put these in the easter section at Target .. if they want to keep with the "seasonal" section they've been doing.
Bleh, time to go on the hunt yet again.... unless someone wants to sell a complete set for retail and save me the trouble LOL.

60 per box. $180 is the damage. If you plan to buy from TRU get them now while it's still at MSRP. TRU raised their price after the initial blitz for the other two series by $1. In store was another story. In Queens it was as high as $4.50.

Just grabbed a full box today in Dallas. Almost got the BOGOHO, but the 4 on the box killed it. :( I'm going to molest the packs this weekend, find the dots and return/sell the rest. I just need to find a Spartan at a decent price to fully finish my collection. So glad I got it before the "rare" ones go bye bye.

I'm debating buying some at TRU.com. Anyone have experience w/ buying online and returning at the store? Is it allowed? To get free shipping I have to buy "more than I need" and I'm wondering if I can then return the extras w/ my online receipt.
Thanks!
