Thank you so much. I'm so there. Not sure if I will buy a lego set. Much better than Borders 40% off. Plus there's going to be no Borders left by me so this is a real plus.

Picked up the Apple Tree House and the ARC-170. Kids are going to have some fun this weekend.

Worked for me with 50% coupon. Picked up a wampa cave since that is one of those sets that is just overpriced otherwise. The cashier was surprised that it was a 50%. Ofcourse the top of the coupon says it is when you print it.

Thanks Mantisking and atmail35! I was able to pick up 7929 Battle of Naboo for $12.50 for my nephew and 3367 Space Shuttle for $15 for myself. The 50% coupon worked like a charm.

Yes, many thanks to both of them. Picked up 2 different Star Wars sets for my son using the 50% off coupons.

I went yesterday and got a small set (Police Prisoner Transport for $9.99) since that was all they had that we "needed".

The cashier asked if I was a B&N Member and I said "no". He said, "you should join b/c you'd get better coupons than this" (he hadn't rung it in yet). I said I was all set but chuckled on the inside - yeah right! ;)

Unfortanutely all this heavy buying of lego sets with 50% off coupons might just get lego added to the in store exclusion list same as how toys are off the Borders coupons right now.

That would truly be a travesty.(maybe it's tragedy) either one works)

I did get Plo koons starfighter for 13 bucks. That was pretty cool. I would have gotten something else, but it was the only thing that was there. :(
Oh well

When these come around, I get the wife involved too =) Hard to find 50% off, so gotta hit it up hard when you can =)

I also nabbed Spinjitsu Dojo for $25, a few of the Lego Games, Rise of the Sphinx $25. I had grabbed the Police Station during the last 30% off B&N sale... thought it was a great price then... even more so now =)
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Thanks for posting this. I was tempted by the police station, but I ended up getting the Mobile Police unit for $24. One store I went to had no lego, really, but another had a lot of stuff.

It is possible. However most people on Slickdeals are buying Blu-Ray discs (tv shows, movies etc.) so I think that might jeopardize it more. Some SD folks mentioned Lego, but not that many, suprisingly a lot of them are getting regular board games.

I went in there and saw some kind of special edition Risk and special edition Stratego ... Especially since it was already marked like 30 or 50% off... Ice almost didn't get his Fallingwater because of it =D

just wanted to add my thanks to the pile!

one police station & rise of the sphinx later, y'all have saved me $75. I hope the numbers of us are small enough to keep lego under the radar.

That's what me and the misses did. We got the boardgames Carcasonne (the non-lego version)and Ticket to Ride. Lego's can be found 25-33% pretty frequently. Boardgames are almost always full prize so we opted to get board games.

At the last minute (10:15 tonight, they closed at 11) scored a Star Wars 8088 ARC-170 for $30 + tax thanks to this! BOO-YA!

The first B&N we checked had relatively little in the way of LEGO... at least that interested me. I called this one before heading out.

I went in to grab that or the T-6 Shuttle, but there was only 1 cashier at the front, which I couldn't remember if I had seen when cashing in another 50% coupon... was gonna go to another register in the CD area, but thought it would look suspicious if I went to that register in the back of the store and magically had 50% off an expensive set, so I decided I had plundered B&N enough this go around.

I was tempted to try another local B&N on sunday but since I just got a large box from Shop at Home I did not want to push my luck with the misses.

This is just for future reference/information. I realized that you can search on Barnesandnoble.com for Lego items and check to see if they are available in-store. As a test I checked a few items while I was at one B&N and it was pretty accurate. So IF they do this again (I looked at old threads and it seems they did back on 1/27-31 so not that long ago), you can do some checking of local stores before heading out.
