[CAN] ToysRUs LEGO Sale: May 13-19

Got 3 of the 4 space sets instore, so I'm good. wish I could have got some airmiles or cash back,but oh well.

I wonder if TRU is aware of just how much animosity they are creating by having a buggy website and not honouring their sales; I doubt it is worth the money they are saving. I am definitely not looking forward to buying the Pet Shop modular/Maersk Train from them when they eventually have them in stock and on sale.

So I ended up ordering Fire Brigade, City of Atlantis and the Power Boat. They gave me a 30% discount (they said the extra 5% for for my trouble, but I think we all know it is because their system doesn't handle 25% for some reason, as this happened once before).

Think the same thing happened last time when I ordered Green Grocer, Fire Brigade, and Winter Toy Shop.

I don't know if it was the same sale, but when I called in last year for a similar sale they just sold me the sets then refunded back 25% (not 30%). Not fair!

Yesterday, I went to the local TRU express, which was carrying fire Brigade.

Wow, I never knew that any TRUs carried any of the 'bigger' (modular/UCS) sets in-store. It would be nice to be able to pick them up directly (and not have to deal with TRU's dreaded shipping service). Of course, that's assuming they let you buy the sets at the advertised sale price...

I can't remember but it could have been 25% off too. One of the items was already discounted by 15% off apparently. The online system was seriously glitched. You buy 3 items and you only get 1 item discounted rather than all 3 items. I called them about it and then they just took out 25% or 30% off the entire order including the already 15% off.

No, those are not returned set. Those are new in-stock and now displaying at the store front window. At my last visit, I saw the crew unpacking some of these sets from lego brown carton box with purple and black stripes.

The store now currenlty carries Fire Brigade, Winter Toy shop, Grand Emporium, Medieval Market Village, Emerald Night, Imperial Flagship, and Tantive IV.
