Lego Winter Toy Shop (10199) may be discontinued soon

I have been watching Winter Toy Shop set for a while and this set is basically sold out everywhere (Amazon, Target, TRU, Lego.com) at MSRP except Walmart. Walmart only has 34 left in stock (was 68 yesterday) so if you have not get a chance to grab one, I would commend get one now! :D

My mistake! I thought you were asking if there will be another new winter set this coming Christmas. I do not know if it will be reintroduce or not. I think its very unlikely they will.

Since they re-released it last year, I'd say there is very little chance they'd do the same again this year.

The Lego rep I talked with told me there was no plans to re-stock it. That's when I pulled the trigger on the Walmart. Safe to say it is retired.

Have any of you fellow Canadians ever purchased any Lego from Amazon.com? I was just wondering what the shipping rates and customs fees were like. The prices for sets on Amazon.ca are beyond ridiculous. It's almost like they marked up their prices as a joke, and then decided to leave them laughably high.

The reason why I ask is because I'd love to get a hold of the Winter Toy Shop, but I can't seem to find any Canadian retailers that carry it.

Unforunately, Amazon.com does not ship LEGO products to Canada.

Amazon.ca does not carry LEGO sets, only books. If you see sets for sale, they're third party sellers so they can charge whatever they want. For all the LEGO exclusives sets, only LEGO and Toys R Us carries it in Canada. Its kinda sad that Wal-Mart and Zellers don't have an online store.

That is only for select products. It doesn't work for LEGO.

I tried it a couple months ago as I was tempted to get a death star for $380. If Amazon does ship to Canada, man, I would buy almost everything from them even with the extra shipping charges. The regular prices are like 30% off Canadian MSRP.
