Found many sets at 50% off notably the Tie-D, Arc fighter, Jedi shuttle. 30% of some potter stuff. Clearance on only the scarab set, some sale prices on some of the kingdom sets.

Had there been a price drop on Banes speeder or if I didn't already have two of the tie and arc fighters I would have been happy. Maybe take another look when the new stock comes in.

for ontarians thinking about crossiing the border to buffalo/niagara falls, slim pickings so I would not recommended going to check out the targets. my scouting report below also includes walmart, kmart, bn and tru.

targets near the outlet, near boulevard mall, and near walden galleria mostly had small sets on clearance from the pharaoh, atlantis, toy story, world racer, city and creator themes (similar to above post). no sw, potc, potter on clearance. I think toy story trash compactor was best I saw at 50% . The others were 15-30% off. Walked away buying nothing at the three targets.

no sales or clearance at kmart and walmart near the outlet.

tru near boulevard mall had the new republic cruiser, podrace, and falcon (one each) and a few infiltrator and ewok attacks on the shelf. All over price even in USD. for the BOGO I was tempted to pick up 2 passenger trains but I don't think I was going to be successful at not paying taxes at the border so I bought some smaller $50 sets. all city/ninjago sets were available on the shelf except for the cargo train. very little toy story left on shelves.

At bn near boulevard mall, they had many city sets, all architect series (of course except robie house) sets, and a few cars 2 sets. I used the kids club 30% off coupon to buy the one and only potter set: hogwarts express.

Disappointing for lego buys overall but at least I got through the border without paying any taxes after declaring all purchases totalling about $300.

Thx for your sharing. Does anyone has any update for the stores located closed to Peace arch border? My past experience told me that the chain-stored sale at Bellingham, Washington wasn't much better than what "ricefields" mentioned.

I visited the Lowell, MA store yesterday. I saw 8061 Gateway of the Squid at 50% off. There were a few other City, Harry Potter, and Kingdoms sets at 25% to 30% off.

Saw at my local Target (Allen, TX) that several sets were discounted. Some that surprised me:

HP Quidditch Match $10
SW Slave I $55
C2 Flo's Cafe $40

Hogwarts Express had also been marked clearance but they were all out of them :(

I already had each of those, but I got myself another Quidditch set since it was a cheap way to get another set of goal posts and Quidditch uniforms.

I don't exactly remember what they were, but there were a few Kingdoms, City, and Atlantis sets also on clearance, probably the ones previously mentioned being sighted.

Stopped by 2 targets today while out shopping. I hit the San Jose North one earlier last week. The first was in Fremont (Fremont Hub). Pretty much same things at the SJN one, mostly everything at 15% off. Then I hit the one in Newark @ New Park Mall, they had the 3181 plane for 30% off, so I picked one up. Ironically, that was the only item they had on sale, but it was only 15% at the other 2 stores.

I found Outpost Attack 7948 for $9.98 (last one) , oddly the Prison Carriage Rescue was full price at this store, so strange!

Stopped by my local Target tonight, and found a few things at 30% off (carriage rescue, scarab attack, quiddich match).

What was interesting is that this Target seems to be doing a rolling clearance. Two weeks ago, there were 4-5 sets on clearance. I even asked about the small Atlantis sets, and the clerk printing the clearance tags said 'Nope, not this week'. Today, there were again maybe 5-6 sets on clearance, but they were all 'newly clearanced'---there were lots of them and I can't imagine they would have lasted over the weekend. The small atlantis sets were completely gone, with a clearance tag marking where they used to sit, and the small HP sets that I passed on 2 weeks ago (@ 30% off) were also gone.

So, if your target hasn't done a massive 'half lego inventory on clearance', it may be worth checking back weekly. A good deal might show up the next time.

Boston, MA. I tend to frequent the Watertown, Somerville, and Everett Targets. The Somerville one is the best for good deals. The other two are sooooo busy, that most LEGO doesn't last more than a day or two at 30% off. [and except for the larger sets, LEGO at the Watertown Target usually runs 10-25% above MSRP. :-P ]

And, the sets I mentioned tonight were in Watertown. The markup there is so high, though, (e.g. $12.69 for Carriage Rescue--- $8.88 after 30% off) that you might burn more in gas than you would save on Lego.
