Sorry, they were the same (this is at Dedham, MA):

10% toys, kids books, LEGO and "bargain books"
20% CDs, Regular DVDs
40% magazines, BluRay

I don't recall the % off on hardcover or paperback as I wasn't looking at those.

I'm not sure why the Hello Kitty (mostly gone) and bobbleheads are 30% off (i.e. why are those different than "toys"). Weird. The line wasn't that long either. I'll try to go back towards the end of the week and see if things have changed.

I got an e-mail today that bumps the base discount to 20%. So those of you with the Rewards+ should be at a 28% discount.

I can confirm that all lego sets are 20% off. Basically brings Borders marked up prices back then to MSRP with a few exceptions. queens anne revenge ended up being $112 from $139.99 but still not low enough for me to grab considering I was shopping in the states for the day and already spent my limit on lego for crossing back to canada, and that with tax it would come out to about $120 which is what I can get it on toronto area craigslist/kijiji anyways. unfortunately I also sacrificed buying the red cargo train at the tru with Bogo 50%!

I was in the Downtown Crossing store in Boston< MA today. That had a number of 4195 Queen Anne’s Revenge tucked up behind the registers with 20% off tags on them listing the final price. Which was $111.99 for those of you wondering. Now, if discounts increase to a base of 30% next week there might be an opportunity for those of you with Rewards+ memberships. Thursday is when Rewards+ discount ends, it's also when (hopefully) the base discount increases. So on that one day of overlap it might be possible to get a QAR for $88.19 before tax.

I broke down and bought the QAR at 25% off the $139.99 marked up price at the buffalo borders. Came out to $105 plus tax (12.5% off US msrp only :( but 30% off canadian msrp :) ). Was going to wait till 30% off but did not have any planned trips to the states until black friday. There's one more left, but rochester borders had a few left also and more lego stock in general.

I checked out the Borders in Marlborough, MA today. They still have a fair amount of Lego, including five boxes of Series 4 CMFs.

You don't have the Borders+ membership?

I noticed the CMFs were closer to 20% off (~$3.20 ea.) rather than 25%.

Disappointing, but with Rewards membership, that works out to be a hair over MSRP, but no tax.

Still very surprised how much LEGO has lasted this long, but between the sets left and the current discount(s), we're not still seeing any significant deals yet.

Anyone know what the last day for Rewards is? Was it today? (Sunday, Aug 7th.)

Mantisking, were you able to get the Borders Bucks that were supposed to be available 8/1? I have not gone back in, but maybe should today.

no, coming from canada, I could not buy lego often enough from borders to benefit. The release of 40% coupons never coincided with my planned trips to buffalo or detroit. If they were able to offer lego online or ship lego to canada then that would have made get the borders plus worth it, similar to me buying a bn.com membership. However, the bn membership is now useless for canadians because free shipping does not apply and we no longer get automatic 10% off lego and enough lego-eligible coupons to stack on top of that.

The series 4 cmf's were $2.99 at the buffalo borders.

The Series 4 CMFs at Marlborough, MA had a base price of $3.99. Which meant they were $2.99 after markdown and $2.69 after Borders+ discount.

Odd that my local decided to exclude the CMFs from the generic LEGO discount.

The Architecture sets were also excluded (explicitly marked as 20% off).

All the Star Wars sets are long gone, but (surprisingly) there was still plenty of LEGO to be had.

I received the same e-mail. There's also a little blurb about an extra 10% for Monday through Wednesday. Although I'm not sure if that's talking about Borders+ or an additional discount.

I went today and Lego is still at 25% off. 10% Plus discount is valid, sales person said it was kind of day to day, but it should be good til Wed as the e-mail said, at least.

The additional 10% is on certain categories, I think it was Music, Romance novels (lol) and a few others I can't recall. Not kids stuff (toys or books).

Our store got in a bunch of new stuff I haven't seen (Vera Bradley bags and knock-off pillow pets). There was a sign on the door to say they are getting new stuff from the warehouse daily. I'm not sure if it is all stores, or just a few per state or what. There still was some Lego, very little SW or PotC but plenty of HP and other stuff.

Still a TON of CMF4 in-store.

I got an e-mail stating that the sale is now 30%-50% off store-wide. 30% off Lego :D I know that some sets are priced way over retail, but there are some non-licensed sets that I saw at my store that were normal price. I found a Lego City space shuttle for MSRP (29.99) and then take 30% off :)

The minifigure collections are also 30% off, coming out to about 2.80. Happy hunting :)

I'm actually going to wait a week. Now that my Borders+ membership is gone I'll have to wait for the regular discounts to catch up to the level I had with my membership.

I'm sitting here digesting my food court burrito after leaving the Northlake Borders in Charlotte. All Lego were 30% off but they've been marked up. CMF $3.99, the Guggenheim was $120 pre discount! Slim selection overall, mostly Cars and Architecture. This is one of the super stores that are getting other stores' inventories. Overall a disappointing trip for Lego...still some good books & DVD though.
