Walmart.com it pops up now and again. There was like a 6 hour period (or less) before it was sold out where it was going for a good 20-30% off or something. Missed the boat on that one :(

Completely agree. I thought "Hmm.. Bricklink sells the baseplate for like $15..." but still not worth it until it goes 50% off at least... especially with the number of them that are stil there.

Long story: North Attleboro, Massachusetts

I generally don't go to WM but swung in after I had heard about people getting
such great deals. I poked around (kind of lost because I don't know how they
do things there-where clearance things are, etc.) and noticed a free standing
rack near the toy aisle. The stock person was pulling things out of new boxes,
pricing them and then putting them on the shelving. I looked down and they had
two displays of Series 4 minifigs marked down to 1.50. Sadly, I have most of
the ones I wanted but picked up a gnome 'cause I needed a fishing pole. As I
was looking through, they seemed to have a pretty solid selection...a couple
Mad Scientists, HazMats.

The figures didn't scan as sale, but the stock person said that the cashier would
ring it up.

Don't know how this will translate store to store, since they had some duplicates
of the games (Majikus- 2.50, Last Dragon- I think- 4.00 on cart, reg price on
shelf.) but again, since that is not my interest, I wasn't very focused. Ramses and Airport, recently discussed were down another $10, I think.

Magikus is 108 pieces. At $2.50, that's 2.3¢/piece which is a nice ratio. Parts that pop out at me are the white owl, bat, 4 red horns, 4 trans-green wands, and a handful of standard pieces. If I saw it at 2.50, I'd pick it up. Could be a fun game too.

yeah- I bought one earlier this week at 2.99. I don't generally even look at games, but right place right time.
and I always am using brown plates and grey pieces.

You missed the boat on Target's clearance sales for Prison Carriage, but Wal-mart should be following suit sometime soon. My local WM's have one or two of the Kingdom 2010 sets at like 20% or 30% off so I expect them to go even lower soon.

I found some Turbo Tanks (8098) for $50 and Slave 1s (8097)for $30. I picked up one of each. I was hoping to find some Harry Potter sets marked down, but they were all still regular price.

My local Walmart had City Airport (3182) for $79.99 and Kingdom Prison Tower Rescue (7949) for $34.99, for 20% and 30% discounts respectively. Also some Turbo Tanks at $100, which hardly seems like a discount, but is. I bit on the Airport, which I assume means TRU will mark it down even lower as of tomorrow.

Wow.. my Walmart was an absolute disaster. Apparently they are rearranging, lego sets on every aisle. Scanned a couple mentioned sets, not marked down.

I was at Walmart in San Jose, CA (Blossom Hill by 85/101 juncture) and spotted some discounts. Some of them were empty right above the tag and I note that below. I took some photos if anyone REALLY needs proof, lol.

Checking Brickset, it looks like their "was $X" notes are pretty close to the MSRP elsewhere. So these are decent deals.

I asked a worker and found out that right now there is no clearance aisle. I specifically asked about Lego and she said it would all be right in the Lego aisle (and the game aisle is where most of the Lego games are).

Also noticed that Walmart has a crappy picked-over selection of motor oil on Sunday morning. :(

So much for waiting for the prices to drop... I saw the Prison Tower Recue, Woody's Roundup, and a couple of other sets on a rack wrapped in shrinkwrap. The shrinkwrap had a piece of paper on it that said deleted. I guess it's being sent back to corporate.
