Re: [WORLD] BN.com 30% off USA MSRP on Non-Licensed LEGO
Here's another coupon to use:
UJPM6L3784NL3
But it's only for 15% discount and ends on this Sunday 21 August 2011. I don't know how far this coupon goes as I have only tried it on Frigate and it does work. Coupon from BN's email promotion.
I wonder when will BN list these sets up; 7958 Star Wars Calendar, 3368 Space Center and 8109 Flatbed Truck.
Happy burning your cash :)

Re: [WORLD] BN.com 30% off USA MSRP on Non-Licensed LEGO
I received my MVR today (18 August 2011).
I got the shipping confirmation email 09 August. So less than 2 weeks.
Half the box contains air bubbles, the other half bricks
No creases or dents or what so ever.
Attached on the brown box are 3 copies of order (OD) details in a ziploc.
Inside the brown box is a copy of the OD with CanadaPost barcode.
Btw, I checked its link on BN, still OOS but the page now contains the dreaded
Note: This item does not qualify for coupons or promotional discounts unless expressly stated.
So does the Lighthouse Island. But this one is currently available. Though I observed it went OOS once after it went live the first time.

I think they are now starting to exclude a lot of new and old Lego sets from the Kid's Club coupon.
So get those sets that wanted ASAP. As for me I already had enough.

You are no alone. But this time, BN emailed me to cancel my order less than 24 hours compared to the first order after three days.

Re: [WORLD] BN.com 30% off USA MSRP on Non-Licensed LEGO
Are they canceling any US/Canada orders for the Millennium Falcon or just orders outside these areas?
Re: [WORLD] BN.com 30% off USA MSRP on Non-Licensed LEGO
Methinks it's another QAR... the 'Jewel' of the new released theme.... that B&N thought they were gonna get, but probably is not going to end up getting.
Like the QAR, stores already have a hard time keeping the new MF (and Podracers for that matter) in stock even at MSRP, so I think it has something to do with that.

I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Re: [WORLD] BN.com 30% off USA MSRP on Non-Licensed LEGO
So....currently, many box sets (even Atlantis series) has been disqualified for the coupon.....is BN going to stipulate on the lego, or they changed the deal because of not making profit at 30% off? What's the insight?Luciant wrote:Exactly. You see TRU constantly doing BOGO sales, so you have got to imagine that MOST stores could take a 30-50% loss/discount and still break even / make profit.
And are you REALLY shocked that the Podracers and MF sold out so quick? They are VERY popular sets, that have been sold out at Target at FULL MSRP..... just wait for the intial "OMG NEW MF IS OUT, MUST GET IT NOW! NOMNOM" and it will be back in stock. We have what.. 3 or 4 links for B&N Membership club codes... I don't think you're gonna miss out on 30% unless they change stipulations on Lego again... which will just hurt them because they won't sell near as many.
Re: [WORLD] BN.com 30% off USA MSRP on Non-Licensed LEGO
I would think that it's because they make little to no profit, especially with free shipping at 30% off. Im betting B&N doesn't hold as big of stock of Lego products compared to the Big 3 so they don't get as good of pricing.. they can take 30% here and there in they expect 1 person to get 30% off 1 thing, but people are hitting them for 5 items at a time. They expect to sell most of their sets at 90% of MSRP , ESPECIALLY the 'popular' items. I blame it mainly on the slickdeal and other sites. Too many people hit them at once, and they forces them to react and turn Lego into a non-game / exclusion.
They did this after PotC release, and eventually we got discount on Lego again. There will be more B&N discounts on Lego in the future... people just make the mistake of overwhelming them before they are ready to ship THAT many sets, and they have time to react, cancel, and eventually block.

Re: [WORLD] BN.com 30% off USA MSRP on Non-Licensed LEGO
MVR is back in stock.... but now has restriction which does not allow discount coupon. Guess it won't run out of stock this time.
Re: [WORLD] BN.com 30% off USA MSRP on Non-Licensed LEGO
got my falcon today-great packaging....thanks bn :) and of course thanks to tnb :)
EDIT: wow upon further inspection my invoice on the outside and inside of the BN box was for someone in Canada. Same first name as me but different last name. The UPS label on the outside was correct, but right next to it was a bn invoice in a plastic envelope saying it was destined for Canada. I have a feeling the guy in Canada will not be as lucky/Customs may actually catch this glitch and inquire.

Re: [WORLD] BN.com 30% off USA MSRP on Non-Licensed LEGO
Probably loosing to much $$$ on it with the all coupon orders...
I would imagine that soon most sets will be the same or different ones may be eligible for the coupon codes.

This same thing happen to me one time with an Amazon order...faish888 wrote:MVR is back in stock.... but now has restriction which does not allow discount coupon. Guess it won't run out of stock this time.

Also amazingly through the interwebs(TnB member) I believe I have found the person. Hope all goes well and your pkg is delivered safely!
Re: [WORLD] BN.com 30% off USA MSRP on Non-Licensed LEGO
seriously. do not publish any of the sale to sd or other sites. bn ships to the world and do you think tlc will look kindly to them cannibalizing the revenue of other lego retailers worldwide? that is why they pull the plug once it reaches sd. bn can make the money, and do not need to sell at 90% msrp to make money. it can make money easily with 30% off. it's just the bru-ha-ha over shipping worldwide. other retailers, especially foreign retailers, will complain over the unfair competition. tlc might sue them over the breach of contract.
Re: [WORLD] BN.com 30% off USA MSRP on Non-Licensed LEGO
My MF order was cancelled yesterday.
3368 Space Center was just listed yesterday and no coupons could work on it.

Re: [WORLD] BN.com 30% off USA MSRP on Non-Licensed LEGO
Their shipping standards are inconsistent. For my geonosian starfighter that I got yesterday, my customs form is handwritten (meant for personal shipping) instead of a printed custom package for businesses like last time. Whats even more suprising is that they wrote it as "books".
Ok, so maybe the guy was new so I forgive them. But my item was poorly packed. The shipping box appears to have been used before and was damaged to begin with. But after thinking about it, it could be that customs opened it because they were suspicious of the customs form. In the end, I got a pretty damaged and crushed LEGO box. :(
Also, this item shipped the same time as my Sith Infiltrator but I still didn't get it yet. I hope the infiltrator and podracers turns out to be in good condition.

The Farnsworth House I received yesterday came in pretty good condition. It was a tad squashed, but nothing very noticeable. I haven't had a bad box come from BN yet. Good luck with your podracers!Ice wrote:Their shipping standards are inconsistent... In the end, I got a pretty damaged and crushed LEGO box. :( ... I'll admit, the shipping times have been weird. The first two packages I ordered (on the same day) arrived after 8 and 12 business days, and this third package arrived after 15 business days. So much for 5-11.Ice wrote:Also, this item shipped the same time as my Sith Infiltrator but I still didn't get it yet.

Someone is selling the B&N coupons codes on ebay. Please look up star wars lego and you'll find that this person has already sold 100+ of the barnes and noble coupon codes that are posted in this site
