Wow, I am so tempted to grab this. But my wife just gave me an ultimatum. If I get this I can't get anything when i go to Boston/New Hampshire (3 lego stores in Boston) plus possible Labor Day Deals. Wow...MY HAIR IS TURNING GREY THINKING ABOUT this decision.

My only concern is its legitimacy. I have seen the 10179 clones coming from China being offered in Australia, etc selling for 279 instead of 1k+. If this turns out to be a fake, I will definitely be contacting my credit card company.

Anyone from LEGO on these forums that can confirm this seller? Anyone else buy from this seller? Is there a authenticity card that comes with it? If it turns out to be a fake, I will be happy to join forces and attempt to make the seller honor the sale and give us the money to purchase a real Death Star at retail price.

Oh and yes, even the box looks the same.

I have been observing this particular seller's record of changes in the units left to sell for the past few days for 10188 every few hours. I noticed that the number of units left to sell would always be increased to double digits whenever it dropped to lower range of single digit. I wonder how many sellers here can afford to have such a big quantity of 10188 for sale. In addition, the seller's speed to replenish 10188 inventory is unbelievable fast. Please correct me if i am wrong.

I just sent an email to Lego.com regarding this vendor for them to start sniffing around. If they were selling it for $125-200 I wouldn't have even bought it as I'm certain it would be a fake, but at only 20% off Retail, it seemed pretty believable. If this guy has sold 50+ fakes and is truely located in New Jersey...I'm sure the LEGO group would seek Legal Action.

Think about it $16,000 for only 50 copies. Just imagine if he has other fakes and has been operating for a few months/years selling fakes. All I know is...it better be legit or I will make sure this guy goes down.

Well, it is actually going to my US Address. It says Between 31st of this month to the 16th of next month. But if the item is truely coming out of New Jersey than it should be there in less than 7 days. Please read my edited post. I encourage everyone to start digging into any details they can to find out if this dealer is legit.

Notthing about Lego. I suspect this is one of those fake china scams that have been coming up on eBay

Just read yr edited post. Hope LEGO will get back to u asap. OMG, their MF 7965 "unit left" record changed from " A couple of units left in stock" to "20 units" 30 minutes ago. If u open 2 windows for mf7965 and ds10188, u can see a suspicious change patterm on the unit left record.

I have sent an email to the seller with no response yet. I have also contacted Amazon customer service via email, and via chat. I am hoping to hear something by COB tomorrow if not I will chase up Lego on the weekend.

They also have Diagon Alley for $120 (+7.50 shipping). I'm hoping these guys turn out to be legit.

I place an order for Diagon Alley on 22/08 and there were only a few LEGO sets on seller web site at that time. No DS 10188 and MF 7965 at all. After my order was comfirned and shipped by the seller according to Tarazz. Suddenly a lot of SW lego appeard on seller's web site and on TNB as well. The seller can restock OOS DS and MF in lighting speed...It is the way the seller adjustd the number of unit left in stock for DS 10188 and MF 7965 tt made me very uncomfortable..
