[CAN] - Walmart 5512 LEGO XXL Box $40

Was just in my Walmart and in the toy section they have an isle with something like top 10 toys for Christmas (it was on the outside edge of the toy section) and noticed this set, which I had never seen before:

5512 LEGO XXL Box

It is 1600 pieces (so 2.5 cents/piece) of assorted bricks, with a pretty decent variety of things - see the breakdown at http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/5512-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For anyone looking for a great present, or just a boost to their inventory, this is a great deal.

From what I could see, this had a retail price of 49.99 pounds in GB which works out to about $81 Canadian dollars.

Picked up 2 for $40. It's hard to miss, it is a big box.

That is a great deal! Even if you break it up and sell it on Brick Link its close to $100. The catalog at BrickLink states CA $92.20 - Including 1600 Items in 130 Lots (average of last six months sale).

Seen it in the Barrie WalMart today but did not immediately clue in...

Should be in the middle isle in the toy section - box is rather big. In Barrie it was surrounded by signs advertising it as "10 deals of Christmas".

Did you see a Duplo XXL box too? That ones in the U.S. Walmart ad, but I havn't seen it here,

$30 in the US and $40 in Canada... but I guess it's to be expected... after all, $40 is still a great deal.

I was in a hurry, but I didn't see this set. I looked in every isle, maybe they haven't gotten them in yet.

Found it at the Scarborough Town Center store, they still had over a dozen Tuesday morning. There were none in the LEGO section. They were on the lower level by the mall entrance, in the middle of two small toy aisles with a sign "Top 18 toys of XMAS" or something.

Was at several WalMarts in the Barrie and North Toronto area and have not spotted any DUPLO boxes.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure the other giant box nearby was MegaBloks.

This will be the Walmart Black Friday Lego Deal in US. I think you can see it on an adscan at http://www.blackfriday.info" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. If I am correct it will sell for $30 on Black Friday....Walmart + Blackfriday = good luck
