I got some LEGO cheerleaders in the mail today so I built them a place to put their skills to good use.

I tried my best to include all the usual suspects at a high school football game.
In the middle of the stands we have our more average contenders. In front row sits the mother watching her son play as hard as he can. He's not the star but he does alright. She's proud and likes to support him whenever she can. Besides, maybe at the game she might meet a nice single father and who knows where that will lead to?
Behind her sits the boyfriend and girlfriend combo. Not having anything else particularly to do on a Friday night for a date, school spirit persuaded them to come to the game and try to make eye contact or conversation. Sadly, the young man's conversation starter, his flag, is of little interest to the girl who is deeply entranced by the game. Little does he know that she's meeting up with the quarterback later tonight.

Here is the creepy old guy in the sweatsuit. He's an older man, probably never left his parents house and inherited it when they died/moved to Florida. He comes to the games purely for the cheerleaders because he thinks they're his girlfriends. He dyes his beard black with 'Just For Men' but keeps the top gray because he thinks it makes him more mature and grown up.

In the back row we have the two 'cool' kids. The reason they only come to the game and not do anything else is because actually participating in something is 'uncool' and going to the game and being antisocial shows all those regular, fine people that THEY'RE the weird ones, not them. A police man watches slyly from across the stands, waiting for any sign of trouble, as they're totally baked right now.
Parked in front of them is the man who actually is a high school football fan. He comes to all the games and wants the team to succeed. He actually put aside time to come here, and can't wait for his team to go to state. The youthful vigor of the crowd reminds him of his glory days on the football field, that lost highlight of his life. Sadly, that was also the peak of it.

And here is Cindy and Mindy, not identical twins but merely alike in every single way. Their squad promotes 'individualism' and encourages the girls to becomes clones of one another. Had more of the stands been included there would have been three other girls identical to Cindy/Mindy and their names probably would have rhymed. Later tonight they both have dates with the quarterback, but at different times.

You don't know who he is. You don't see him. He's just there. The only indication to you that he exists is that you hear an occasional hacking cough and spitting noise as he chokes on a cigarette and lights up a new one. Is he dealing drugs? Is he looking up skirts? Is he meeting someone? You will never know because like the invisible man, you'll never really see him.
I hope you enjoyed. All of these can be found on my Flickr as well. Just look for Legitimatealex.
