Why?

That's what I want to ask Lego.

:what?:

The only thing that would make me roll my eyes more would be if they included the crash test dummy people have such hate for....seriously this is dull!

I can't believe the Spartan didn't make the cut. And I can't believe no one has complained about that yet. This whole things seems goofy.

Wow....just freaking wow. The selection could not be any more worse than this. NO S1/S2 figs?!

I have to say, quite the disappointment. All of these are Series 3 (not exactly the best series) and for some reason they've got the mummy in there; . They even tout the fact that some of the colours are changed as a positive thing, which for the space villain it is, but for the fisherman this is a change for the worse; they've replaced his exclusive dark blue cap with a common black one (and the same goes for his fish). Poor show, Lego Company!

I suggest Lego to do a recount. Or maybe they only decided to take the top two vote, then the rest are their over stock they need to get rid of.

Absolutely pathetic set. Notice whenever companies release a turd, they tend to label it "exclusive" to try and add some meaningless value to it?

BOOO. I call shenanigan!

There is no way the Zombie and Spartan would not be on the top 5. Very lame TLG.

speculation on price? They were 3 each so if it's over 15 that would be pretty hilarious.

SpaceNinjaDino wrote:Wait. The way the contest was worded before was that the top picks would get their own theme sets. I would hope that meant each figure will be in a polybag ~$5 set. But maybe plans changed or I read that wrong.
I think you read that wrong. The wording of the original email (as taken from this topic) states
Simply click on their preferred minifigure below to register your vote. We will then turn the most popular characters into an exclusive LEGO Minifigure set, only available to LEGO VIPs!
I read "LEGO Minifigure set" as I stated earlier in this topic - in the same vein as the Vintage Minifigure Collections, which were five figures in a box for $20.
evo8hks wrote:Also, it's B.S. I wasn't asked to vote. I guess purchasing over $10k from them wasn't enough to qualify.
The only thing you needed to qualify was a LEGO VIP card/account - all VIP members were emailed in July to partake in the survey. Money had nothing to do with it.

WTF!!!!! None of them comes from series 1. Is this a joke???????????? If not, it is so disappointed.

This line-up is totally unacceptable. Rubbish..... This is not our vote.

This is just an "exclusive clearance" to the over-stock CMF.

Does anyone know how could I file a complain to Lego group in regarding this issue?

I'll admit, while I'm happy to get a second shot at the Elf and Space Villain, the other three definitely aren't figs I need any more of in my collection. Not to say I don't love them (the Gorilla head still cracks me up), but like most have said, there are more than a few of the Series 1 and 2 figures I would have preferred to see included.

All in all, not a bad collection of figs but not the must-have "army builder" pack I hoped for.

Not all VIP members could vote. When I heard of the voting I checked my account and Emails and had nothing so I called customer service and was told not all members were asked to vote, that it was done at random and if you didn't get the invite there was nothing they could do.

The fisherman?! Of my collection, I was most disappointed with the fisherman due to yellow color in the overalls not even close to matching the yellow of his legs. Worse, the yellow printing doesn't even extend to the bottom edge of this upper body, leaving a blue horizontal divider between the overalls, ruining the look.

Yeah, this set has executive decision written all over it; because I cannot see Kid nor AFOLs going: "What I want to see is more fishermen!" The only thing I do see as fan pleasing is the Elf, and the Ape Suit guy as kid pleasing.

Maybe we can start another thread with everyones top picks in the first three series just to see how the fans of Lego vote on this website?
