LEGO Star Wars 5000642 Exclusive Poster

Post by Toys N Bricks » Fri Jan 06, 2012 8:26 pm

Forum member legodeal informs us that the 2012 LEGO Star Wars 5000642 Exclusive Poster is now available for pre-order by itself in the North American LEGO Shop at Home site. Price is $9.99 for USA and $10.49 for Canada. The catalog picture was a bit small, but thanks to the site, we can now get a closer look at this new LEGO Star Wars Poster!

*If you want the poster, don't buy it by itself. Instead, pre-order one of the January 2012 LEGO Star Wars sets as you'll get it for free. Cheapest sets they have are the Planet ones for $9.99 USD / $12.99 CAD.

Did anyone else notice there is no Queen Amidala minifigure on this poster. Was a lot of hype up to that figure being released... Wondering if because she is not on the poster maybe the figure will be released next year ? Or as a "special figure" like the chrome stormtrooper or boba fett kinda thing....

What you guys think ?

@ telorc, This poster only shows the winter 2012 minifigures, queen Amidala will be released this summer. (In set 9499 I think)

Assuming it's even high quality and not the same paper they print their catalogues on. Also, that it won't be folded in 8 places, ripped and mangled by the shipping department before it even gets to you.

Speaking of catalogues, this thing is basically a giant advertisement (buy this year's sets, available now!). They should be giving this away for FREE in all Shop at Home orders until April.

Scratch that, they should be paying us for the valuable ad space if we agree to put it up in our homes for the rest of the year. Doubly so because we have to put up with Darth Maul's leering, lecherous mug staring at us.

thanks. i ordered 2 of the planet sets so have 2 posters coming. :)

to the previous poster, when you say "catalog" are you referring to the recent mag. w/ the green cover? im new to this board so trying to learn what all the terms are referring to. im just a little confused by your comment re: "free"..are you speaking about something you actually purchased?

I'm just very cynical lately. Don't let it concern you.
