Amazon No Lego Shipping to US Customers?
Amazon No Lego Shipping to US Customers?
I was just trying to place an order on Amazon, and received a message stating "...cannot be shipped to the selected address".
I tried this with multiple sets and multiple addresses. Called Amazon and they said this issue has been going on for about a week, but should be resolved within a few days.
Has anyone else had this happen? I'm not sure I buy the customer service rep's explanation.

Re: Amazon No Lego Shipping to US Customers?
I got that message when I tried to order the VW Camper.
Re: Amazon No Lego Shipping to US Customers?
VW camper was my order as well. A Winter Toy Shop magically appeared (sold directly by Amazon), and I was trying to order that as well.
I noticed you're from CA also. I wonder if it has something to do with CA (new law or something?)...

Re: Amazon No Lego Shipping to US Customers?
I ordered an Atlantis HQ and small PQ set from Amazon, yesterday around noon- no issues. I'm in TX so perhaps it's limited to CA like you say.
Re: Amazon No Lego Shipping to US Customers?
I thought California has an issue with Amazon over sales tax collection or some such... that might be it.
Re: Amazon No Lego Shipping to US Customers?
I think it was because there was only 1 VW camper left and we were all trying to order it and the system didnt let us as someone had already bought it?

Amazon will begin collecting taxes in California on September 15, 2012.
Re: Amazon No Lego Shipping to US Customers?
I read that today as well, after my experience with Amazon. Many states are expected to follow suit. Even worse, a federal law could be passed required some sort of internet sales tax...cmonman wrote:Amazon will begin collecting taxes in California on September 15, 2012.
In any case, I tried going through the ordering process just now, and everything was working properly again. It's almost like they didn't want California people get any good deals yesterday lol.
I also noticed that during the VW sale, Amazon had other expensive sets like the Tower Bridge in stock, whereas they were out of stock before. Shorlty after the VW sale, the more expensive sets disappeared from the site again (except for third parties). Very odd.
