Lego Denmark Factory Tour on the National Geographic Channel

The National Geographic Channel will be airing "Inside Lego" part of the "Ultimate Factories" series on Saturday, Jan 21st. Our local newspaper ran a small blurb describing it as as behind the scenes at Billund, Denmark of the development and design process of a Lego playset. Also featured, molding, painting and packaging.

I just found this program already posted on youtube. Really cool, 45 minutes. The set featured is the City Police Station 7498. Funny when LEGO employee boasts how they print the eyes on the Minifig Dog so you don't have to apply stickers to it, yet at the end they show the completed kit and the dreaded Stickers on the building already look in rough shape.

I watched it over the weekend. I thought it was interesting that the warehouse is located in the Czech Republic and the IT department for said warehouse is located in Switzerland.

It was a great video. Talks about the high hopes of Lego Universe which of course went the way of the dodo.

Otherwise, it was great to see.
