I just noticed the skylight in that one pic. That's another unique feature if it's done well. Will be interesting to see how they handle the interior of a city hall. Somehow I don't expect anything particularly realistic: more what the public sees than what's really behind the scenes (lots and lots of offices).

I'm inclined to agree with the $179.99 to $199.99 price since the box picture does have a piece count of 2766 and the only other modular set to pass the 2300 piece count was the 10185 Green Grocer.
It'll also I think depend on the bricks and elements used in this modular set.
However this may not be the final product print so its hard to tell what TLG will do with the pricing but $179.99 to $199.99 seems about right but hopefully TLG will try to keep it within the $149.99 range.
BrickUpdate wrote:My gut is that this will be AT LEAST $199. I know many are speculating $179. But with just inflation - 8 minifigs, and all the pieces, I can't help but feel it is a pretty big step up from $149.

Seems as though it is gone from the original "Roman" (romanian) website.

So my big question is, what new/rare colors or parts are in the set?

The 4x4 clock (printed 4x4 radar dish) looks very nice. It's hard to believe this is the first 4x4 clock face in lego.
Are the white mudguards over the windows a new mold?
What is that arch piece below the 1891? New?
I'm assuming the curved pieces to the left and right of 1891 are inverted "Brick, Modified 1 x 2 x 1 1/3 with Curved Top".
The columns are 2x2 brick stacks with 1x8 tiles attached with a half stud offset?
Four "Slope, Curved 4 x 1 Double No Studs " in tan (new color) under the windows.
New print design on the shield.
Skylight is trans clear "Garage Roller Door Section"s?
Is that little boy fig all parts from S@H PaB?
Is the body dark orange, or reddish brown? If reddish brown, then there's not all that much to get excited about for parts, unless they manage to keep it at the $150 price point.

Lego needs to work around a budget. I would like this set to be $150 but have to agree that it will be around $170-$180 with the amount of pieces and figs. except for the first floor, I'm not that impressed.

Then place it next to the Firestation instead, just because they placed it next to the PetShop doesn't mean you have to :)

It was a good idea for modular Town Hall. The ground level looks awesome and outstanding; however, it makes second and third levels looking plain. I hope the real object would look better than photo.

Or get a 16x32 baseplate (or 2 8x32) to add 8 studs of open/park space along each side. I was thinking of modifying the design to be a corner building on a 48x48 baseplate.

Honestly, the problem with putting other modulars next to the Pet Shop is that most of them look big next to the Pet Shop.

I love it! True, that the brown color is kind of odd but it could be gray/white and that might be boring. I have the FB and the GE and was contemplating adding the Pet Shop but I was pretty underwhelmed when I saw the built model in-store. The Town Hall, I feel, lives up to Fire Brigade and Grand Emporium.. will definitely buy and skip the Pet Shop

I don't necessarily see it as a 'problem'. For me, it's kind of refreshing that some of these modules stand at different heights. It adds a little variety to the cityscape. What's even better is that the two buildings that comprise the Petshop set can be separated and arranged however you want, giving you even more variety.

At the same time, creating some open/park space around the Town Hall is an excellent idea. It would help separate it from the buildings to give it air of importance. I foresee a lot of people doing this.

Eurobricks is reporting that a Roman Toy Shop
I think that should be "Romanian", not "Roman".

I like it, it just needs a clock on it with Doc Brown hanging off of it

Finally, I reviewed the photos and information. I really like that set so I will buy in either February or March one set then later will buy three more to modification my modular buildings. The price hope stay at $149.99 but if go higher at $179.99 sound like little bit expensive. I have read the news about the lego Group so, I think should up to $164.99 or $165.00 for it to sound fair to me.

Feel free feedback or comment on that price. I have not hear from Lego Group has decision on that price yet.

Brickset forum member "forumreader" noticed that in the first 2 seconds of the video, we can see a sneak peak at two possible upcoming sets, one of which is a USC R2-D2 and the second is an awesome looking haunted house. Take a look for yourself:

Ooh, that haunted house is news. It doesn't really look like it matches the Monster Fighter aesthetic...given the nature of these designer videos, do you think it could be a fall exclusive?

10225 R2-D2 is looking great, too!

Holy cow. I'm excited about Town Hall, but that Haunted House is the best thing I've seen Lego make in a long time... I want that.
