Walmart.com Price Reductions

After an unsuccessful trip to my local b&m Walmart, I decided to check the site online. I found several older sets that with reduced prices, but were not marked as "clearance" or "rollback", so I'm not sure how to classify this other than "price reductions".

Some examples include:

7065 Alien Mothership $44.40 (regularly $49.99)
8098 Clone Turbo Tank $107.99 (regularly $119.99)
7930 Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship $40.12 (regularly $49.99)

And the set I happened to be looking for in-store: 7066 Earth Defence HQ $70.66 (regularly $89.99)

Looks to be close to 20% off savings for some of these cases (with the exception of the Turbo Tank in this list), and a lot of these sets appear to be the same as found in-store during the recent clearance sales, though the prices aren't as reduced. Still, with free site-to-store shipping or $0.97 standard shipping, this isn't too bad if you missed out!

I believe they are trying to match Amazon prices. I remember purchasing 7930 for about $40 from amazon.

I hope this trend continues so we benefit from all these price matches from different retailers.

Actually I think it happens the other way around imo....Walmart.com is normally first to the price cuts and Amazon matches. Most just seem to see it first on Amazon...
