[USA] K-Mart 50% Off Clearance

I went to the K-Mart in Council Bluffs, IA and found the Banana Balance game for 2.00 and Ninjago Skull Truck for 22.50, but all the old Cars sets were full price, and everything else was a newer set.

Sidney N.Y. Kmart is cleaned out. I found the lady doing the clearances stickers 2 isles over and she kindly informed me that she had finished doing the Lego section.

In case you are wondering what I found, the following sets were on clearance:

3 lego pens (2 Vader, 1 Yoda) $1.75

My local KMart was mostly out of the older sets, but they did have some lego in the clearance isle (which was a new feature to this store). Found two SW Geonosian Starfighters for $11 each, multiple AC Abductions at $11 each ( I picked up one, but will apparently need to get another as my youngest son was so excited at seeing it I couldn't help but give it to him), and an AC Mothership for $22. I also found two lego minifigure pens (one Vader, one Yoda) for $1.75 each, which I picked up as fun treats for my sons. The other stuff in the regular toy isle was mostly new, so I didn't bother scanning it, although they did still have a few Ninjago Nuckal's ATVs that might've scanned at a big discount. I'll check that when I return for the other AC Abduction! Also gonna check another KMart in a town near mine that I'll be workng in tomorrow, so I'll have more info tomorrow evening. But always scan it, as you never know. Last christmas, none of the clearance stuff at either of these stores was marked or even in a different isle, but when I scanned it, boy did I clean up! But whatever you do, check it soon, as KMart clearance sales are usually quite short, lasting typically only a week or two. If it doesn't sell by then, it usually goes back to MSRP.

Picked up similar to others today the AC Mothership, banana balance, pirate code, robots, and lots of old cars sets.

I checked the Braintree, MA store. I didn't find any of the listed sets on clearance, all were full price, including the AC, Potc sets mentioned here. They didn't have any of the SW sets people mentioned in stock.

I didn't bother to scan any of the newly released sets or anything. No LEGO games on clearance either (I didn't see any Banana Balance ones).

All I saw was a pile of Hero Factory ones for $10 (so I guess $5), but they didn't interest me.

This store is being remodeled, so I don't know if I actually found everything since things were a bit jumbled. Oh well.

The tags said the additional 50% off clearance is good until 4/7.

Nuts, I was hoping to pick up a bunch of Hero Factory on clearance (my son is aiming for a LEGO birthday party next year), but there isn't a B&M store near enough to me to check and the sale isn't on-line. Maybe in June...

So here's the deal: After reading about the incredible deals a lot of you are getting, I went to my local KMart, where I found nothing on clearance. I spoke to the toy department manager who said they shipped all of their clearance Legos to another location per corporate orders. Therefore, some of the locations will not have any clearance Legos. Very disappointing to say the least.

So I went back to the two KMarts near me and went through and scanned sets. At one, I found 3 Alien Motherships for $22.50 and the Tripod for $7.50. They didn't have much stock, but there were themes we didn't try since we weren't interested. The other one was fully stocked with a lot of old sets including PoTC, Harry Potter, Ninjago, Cars, Alien Conquest and others. However, when we tried all the ones we were interested in, which was all of what I just mentioned, only Freeing Dobby was discounted, $4. They had four of the Alien Conquests, several copies of each, but none were marked down.

It was very surprising to see so many copies of each of the old sets, but if I remember correctly, that KMart gets new LEGO very late into the life-cycle of sets. So it may still be marked as new for them. But it was really odd that Dobby was discounted, but not the Quidditch Match.

I guess it's really up to each store on what is and isn't discounted.

It's in Sacramento, on Stockton Blvd. However, we did tell one of our LUG's members and they may have gone and cleaned them out. But if it's near you, it may still be worth checking out. I know I'll be keeping my eye on the other store, which is on Sunrise, and hope they mark those down soon. They have so much.

i wonder if this week ad (4/1-4/7) BOGO 50% off for Lego Star Wars would apply to clearanced Lego, i.e. bounty hunter & podracer. Technically, the ad does NOT say to exclude clearance :). Imagine BOGO 50% and then extra 50% off. That'd be awesome.

Traditionally when K-Mart does the 50% off clearance, it is run like a weekly special. They will price things for clearance 1-3 weeks in advance and let them sit on the shelves another couple weeks afterward. But there is only one magical week of 50% off clearnace prices. So odds are that everything on clearance has just returned to "regular clearance" price. You might be able to get them to BOGOHO on the stickered "regular clearance" price.

I was FINALLY able to track down the SW Bounty Hunter ship today... for $18.50 no less. There was only one and it took some digging to find, but it was well worth it.

Now if only I could find that pod racer set...,
