The next 2 upcoming LEGO Store Grand Opening Celebrations will be located in Texas and Massachusetts. Details for these LEGO Store Grand Opening Celebrations are now available at stores.lego.com! During the weekend celebration, you can also help a LEGO Master Builder construct an 8 foot tall model of a Buzz Lightyear for the Texas store or a Spongebob for Massachusetts. Participants will receive a free Certificate of Achievement.

The Overland Park, KS store is "soft opening" Friday morning -- no Grand Opening deals, but LEGO shopping nonetheless! Grand opening is sometime in June, no firm dates yet.

In the June Calendar posting below it states June 1-3 for Overland Park. It lists dates for all the June stores.

After reading about the Vancouver opening I am reserving the right to complain later.

For Vancouver store grand opening event, shopper could get both TC-14 minifig and promo gift if they spent over $75 for lego star wars products. So, I assume you will get both if you spend $50. Contact the store for confirmation.

Be there early for mini-store promo set. The store manger told me this item is an extremely limited edition give away. Good luck.

There is a Mall entrance near the Legal Seafoods and Joes Bar and Grill. Take a right at the end of the hall and follow Macys signs. The dept store entrances do not open until the mall opens. There might be a closer Mall entrance, but this is what I found yesterday.

Sadly due to a conflict, I can't go today. Have fun!

The Sponge Bob is near JC Penney, which is NOT near the store. Chris the Master Builder was fun and the store staff is nice. Tim, Chris' helper was also great.

Oh the Mall is very warm, not sure what is going on w/ AC. The store was more comfortable than the build area. Dress accodingly!

Wow, it seems like the other stores aren't as busy as Oakridge. When there was still half an hour to go at, there were already like 300-400+ people in line!
