I saw this in Downtown Disney Lego Store, Anaheim, CA.
Price $14.99.

I don't know who voted for these but other than the sought-after elf, every figure is like "meh."

I thought these were supposed to be in new colors? Why weren't they? Other than the elf and golden scorpion and the totally common grey fish nothing else changed from the last voting. What a rip off!

VIP Exclusive Collectible Minifigure Set

The VIP CMF set that consists of "fan favorites" was found at the Downtown Disney Lego Store (Anaheim, CA). Price is $14.99, so basically $3 per figure. Only slight variations to some figures. If you have these figures already, probably not worth buying.

This was a cool idea, re-release 5 of the most popular figs in one collection with slight variations. The end result is pretty disappointing to me. As many have priviously pointed out, there is no way the 5 most popular/ fan favorite figs came from series 3. I couls see the elf and maybe cyborg being up there but as much as i personally liked the mummy and gorilla suit guy, these were not universally popular. And the variations are just lame. Why bother if you are just going to change an accessory color here or there? I might pick this up at 50% off clearance if it ever gets there, which I suspect it wil. I got my fill of series three, there is nothing unique enough about this set to make it worth buying these figs again.

The fisherman was pretty popular from series 3, because he was on the rare end of the spectrum and had the new beard and green fish. But they've taken away some of the appeal by using the silver fish.

But I agree these were pretty dull selections (other than the Elf). The mummy is the worst; particularly with the gold scorpion (how many of those do we need?).

I would like the black cyborg gun; just not for $15.

I would like to see the official voting breakdowns. I'm in the boat with a lot that doesn't understand how these are the top 5. I think pricing on BrickLink of the CF's is a decent indicator of the demand. Zombie should be in this pack. Also, series 1 was under ordered by retailers in the US so I think demand for series 1 is higher. Zombie and Robot from series 1 in this pack and I'd buy a bunch. I'm with cowbug and will wait for 50% discount . Only ones I really want more of are the Elf (Legolas) and Cyborg villain. I guess I can see fisherman being popular with people into City theme which is very popular globally.

Well, if anybody picks up a set and doesn't want everything, I'd gladly take the Mummy off your hands.

They should have done an Elf, Blacktron Cyborg, and Zombie 3 pack for $9-$10.

Saw them in the Wauwatosa, WI store. Yeah I doubt all of these were the actual fan favs. There was some fine print:

"Please be aware that while every best effort will be made to exactly replicate the minifigures from the series range, if the winning minifigures contain parts no longer in production, we will look to find the closest looking pieces as a replacement part, and if no suitable replacement parts are readily available, we will substitute the minifigure(s) in question with runners-up."

Too many other sets to buy to be worried about this one.
But maybe an impulse buy when I feel like walking out of the Lego store for under $100.

Pretty disappointed with the original fisherman with the yellow color of the overalls not matching the yellow of the pants. It looks like they didn't improve on this, so perhaps they are just burning through surplus.

What a wasted opportunity. If there was a poll, no one voted for that mummy. No one. This should've been:
Zombie, Spartan, Cheerleader, Elf, Hazmat. Or something like that. Lego must have a ton of series 3 figs taking up room. That's the only explanation. Meh.

They couldn't have had the Hazmat, as I think the poll was when Series 3 came out.
