was at 2 Walamrts and they had a few things on clearance.
Bounty hunter ship
T-6 Shuttle
Pod racer set
Republic frigate
probably grab all but the pod racer set on payday.

Hopefully they are making room for the new sets.

Were the prices like eye-popping or just okay?

Getting a frigate and turbo tank from Alberta so I can save some tax too.

Found the Apple Tree house on clearance for $50, an the Dino T-Rex Hunter for $75. Obviously nothing spectacular, but this is the first time I've seen anything from the Dino theme on clearance.

Found following box sets were listed as clearance at local wal-mart today; however, the reduction is not much. I think this clearance is nationwide.

3365 Space Moon Buggy $6.00 (reg. $6.86)
3366 Satellite Launch Pad $20.00 (reg. $24.86)
3367 Space Shuttle $30.00 (reg. $34.88)

5891 Apple Tree House $50.00 (reg. $59.86)

5884 Raptor Chase $32.00 (reg. $39.86)
5885 Triceratops Trapper $55.00 (reg. $64.86)
5886 T-Rex Hunter $75.00 (reg. $89.86)

4528 Green Lantern $15 (reg. $17.86)
4527 The Joker $15 (reg. $17.86)

Possibly. I personally do not hate this theme set, the dinos were looking cool. However, there were too many outstanding theme sets in this year, too many choices for kids and fans. These Dino sets were released at wrong time.

No, I don't think it's that. I just think its Dino's turn for a round of clearance. Out of everything that Walmart currently carries in stock, I believe Dino has been on the shelves the longest (in terms of release date for themes/waves).

For a split second I thought about picking up the T-Rex Hunter since it was the first time I had seen it on clearance. But I very quickly came to my senses when I realized that we'll no doubt see much better discounts in the future on the Dino sets. If you think about it, there are still Alien Conquest sets, PotC, even Atlantis sets still floating around. I'm slowly learning to be more patient, and I try not to get so caught up in the excitement when a new wave/theme is released.

I too believe Dino is doing fine and WM's "clearances" is becoming more of a joke today. I've seen all those legohunter has mentioned and the discount is very mild. Too mild for AFOLs anyway. Prices are outrageous, yes you get a cool dinosaur figure but that's still too much.

Spotted the 3367 Space Shuttle further reduced to $25 (almost 38% off MSRP). It was previously clearanced at $30.

5886 T-Rex Hunter + 3368 Space Station are both $60 at Wal-Mart Uptown. Second mark down, finally got the space station. About 33% off.

Not a fan of Dino, perhaps at a lower price later in the theme's run.

YMMV.

A couple of finds for Walmart clearance:

Markville Mall Walmart has 3368 Space Centre on clearance for $60 (regular is $90). There are at least 3-4 of these sets. The price tag on the shelf is still the full $90 but scans at $60. Tempted by the price but having Shuttle Adventure already, I felt this was somewhat redundant and inferior (albeit I realize this one is aimed at a different age group compared to Shuttle Adventure/Expedition).

The Walmart beside St. Jacobs (Kitchener/Waterloo area) has one 5891 Apple Tree House that is being sold for $40 (regular price is $60). It scans for $50 but it is stickered at $40, and they're willing to sell it to you for $40. I was also tempted but didn't like the set enough so I just left it there.

I went to the Burnaby Wal-Mart today and it seems like they have just made some more reductions. Joker is now $5 which was marked down from the previous $10 clearance tag. Also a couple Duplo Brick Buckets for $6.

Wished they still had the other clearance sets!

At the Wal-Mart of Chicoutimi the Joker, Green Lantern and BatMan was still 10$:-(
I've scanned them just to be sure (thinking maybe they forgot to change the price sticker) and still 10$

Remember, Walmart does clearance on a store by store basis. For example, I once saw the Star Wars Bounty Hunter gunship on clearance at a store in Northern Ontario (using their web page) for $20, while it was still full price at all the stores around me. There are 2 Walmarts in Barrie, and I've seen items selling at one price in one store, and a totally different one at the other.

The WalMarts in Barrie are usually a write-off in terms of clearance. The ones further up North are way better!!!
