True, but whenever Toys R Us comes out with a new (and waaaaaaaaay overpriced) LEGO Star Wars polybag, I feel a sudden urge to purchase the visually awesome mini-set.

The also (well, last time i worked there) had exclusive rights to most LEGO sets for two weeks. SO they couldd get away with charging more, but I don't see why they leave the prices inflated.

Last year, when TRU wasn't completely over-pricing everything, I spent a few thousand dollars there... This year after the non-stop super-mark ups, I have probably spent less than $200. Only reason I even do is when I get TRU bucks to get me a cheap set for basically free, or if they have an exclusive polybag. Hoping others are doing the same so maybe they will realize what happened and go back to not fleecing everyone.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

I found 4 of the Friends sets in Dedham, MA.

3@ $11.99 - Andrea's Bunny house, Mia's bedroom and Olivia's speedboat
Camper was $34.99

I used the 20% off one full priced item on the Camper so it was $27.99 and I got the free Ninjago poly.

I'm doing the same thing. But I'm still trying to stack deals with their coupons as much as I can. I couldn't wait for the batman poly to be on sale. I had to jump on it before they were gone.

That implies that at least for some sets, overpricing doesn't seem to be a problem.

My TRU had the Interceptor, Gungan Sub and the starfighter today. Sure was cool to see them "in the flesh." Had a 20% off coupon. However that really only cuts out the $20 mark-up. So, I left empty handed but happy to be able to see them, knowing sometime soon I'll find a decent deal.
