Now that's a set that makes me want to buy LotR. Look at all that delicious green. Are those new curved elements on the roof there? I don't think I'm familiar with that mold.

I agree... a very attractive set. Lots of SNOT, too! very creative use of pieces.

^ The roof elements look to me to be this: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=6215" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Not bad. Nice color theme. I like TLG using different small pieces and tiles to build up the fence at front yard. Good job in managing texture and layers at roof top. Obviously, the roof top could be opened for accessing inside. I wonder what the furniture is gonna be?

Wow - why in the world doesn't Lego put out more sets of this quality? Looks like TLG is finally taking some cues from the quality of MOCs!

I've also noticed that TLG delievered a new and better building style on the line of LOTR.

Awesome! I wonder how much? $79.99 like Mines of Moria?

That set looks sweet. Does anyone know about how many sets are usually previewed at comic con? Do we usually see most of the upcoming sets or just a couple? I hope we see others :-D

Also, through the door we can see a few details. I figure it probably opens somehow, either on hinges or the roof comes off for playability and access to the inside. Hopefully we get to see some more pics.

^It appears that the roof comes off, as you can see a line of plates just underneath the curved slopes. Plus, it would be near impossible to get in through the doorway unless you had teeny tiny baby Hobbit hands.

Wow, this looks more like an MOC than an official set. I'm impressed.

Nice, but not as impressive as the exterior. Is that a pretzel? Never saw that piece in another set.

Hooray, thanks for the image! :-D

I really like how they continued the brown bricks from the tree down into the soil as tree roots. Looks like a cross-section that way!

The interior is okay, wish the door was round on the inside too. Also wish the whole set was hinged to swing open. Nice accessories!

Absolutely gorgeous. I'm wasn't planning on getting any LotR/Hobbit sets but... this is just too difficult not to

I bought only one set from the LOTR stuff -- Gandalf Arrives (it was one of my favourite scenes in the movie) and wasn't planning on buying any more. I'm not much of a fan of the sea of grey bricks.

But Bag End is so gorgeous and quaint and appealing. Anxious to see the price. Looks like that pretzel piece in CMF series 8 has already found a use here :-D .

I wish they did Rivendell. I'd be interested in that. And for The Hobbit stuff, a giant treasure cave complete with Smaug! Gold pieces and those cute gem pieces in a rainbow of colours. Throw in a couple king's crowns, necklaces made the same way as the Olympic CMF medals... :what?:

I believe there's a new mold here. A 4x4 round plate with 2x2 hole in the middle is used for the trim around the windows next to the door.

This was the Hobbit set I was expecting and I think it hits the mark for the price. It would have been even sweeter if they designed for a higher price point, but I can understand the business for not going too high with a non-action set.

Rivendell is also the grand set I want. Will it ever happen?
