Question about Part Lists and Bricklink

I've been somewhat frustrated with Bricklink and trying to figure it out, so I figured I would ask our awesome community.

Is there a way to bring a peeron part list, or just take a "set" and part it out for PURCHASE?

I know there is an easy way to part out a set when you are selling, so figured there has gotta be an easier way to see how much the pieces for X or Y set would be if I built it myself? Or do I gotta slug each part # in there and figure out the cost?

I use the Brick Store program that I downloaded to my computer http://www.brickforge.de/software/brickstore/ (Site Seems to be down right now...) You then import the set you are interested in from their database. It will list every part that's been inventoried in that set. You can then set the prices of each piece to the Bricklink 6 month sales, or current inventory to find out roughly what it would cost to buy the parts. You can also export your list to a Bricklink wanted list once your done your changes.

This is just one option, but it should work for you. Do a search for Brick Store if you need a more detailed guide on how to use it.
