Allen writes in to let us know that this week from October 21-27, Wal-Mart America will be offering a nice sale on a new set! As advertised on their flyer, LEGO City The Mine set will be available for
$39.77 (reg.$99.99) which works out to be 60% off. Pretty good deal!

Yeh it has been discussed on other deal forums as a misprint...No harm in checking it out in the morning though :)

Even at 60% I am finding it very hard to bring myself to want to purchase any of the Miner's sets. Just boring IMO.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Please let us know if you are able to score one at the price. $40 is a steal!

My local also has it for 39.97 starting tomorrow. Bit surprised this is originally $99 for around 750 pieces for a non licensed set. $40 is a fair price for it.

Definitely a mistake, there is a smaller mining set (4203) that is $40. But I'm still wondering if they'll honor the price.

did it ring up at the register at $40 or did you have to get a price adjustment for it?

If only I didn't visit the US last week. Glad to know some of you are able to get this for $40. :)

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. The price was loaded in the system at $39.97, also scored a 9486 (Oil Rig Escape) for $20! Great trip to Walmart this morning!

Lucky for me I was up late tonight! I went to the Walmart on El Dorado Blvd here in Houston. I was disappointed that the display price tag showed it on sale for $89.97. Fortunately there was a price checker one aisle over and it rang up for $39.97. I got the last two.

Rang up at $39.97 down in San Diego. Sweetness. Was going to wait until these went on sale. I'd say 60% off qualifies. Somebody made a boo-boo at Wally World when printing this ad. Great deal! Thanks OP.

Agree, I find Power Miners more interesting than this. But for that price, it is ok on getting it just for the bricks.
