I think I'll be passing on this series... Nothing I've seen so far really strikes my fancy. Very happy for you folks that are looking forward to it though :) (Different strokes, and all that!)

Can't say this does much for me - the minifigs are kind of cool (at the least the TMNTs themselves) but some of the vehicles look like someone just threw a pile of LEGO in the air and based the design on whatever landed where...
LEGO, it's not just a toy, it's an addiction... ;)

I'm also having a hard time getting into this theme now that the official sets have been revealed. Being an eighties child, I have an immense amount of love for the original turtles. I haven't watched the new show, but from what I gather Baxter is no longer a fly? Mike now uses nunchucks (it was banned from the original series)? Bebop, Rocksteady and Slash are gone? April is a teenager? Ugh...

This one will definitely be a hard sell for AFOLs. Really hope the company doesn't start to hurt with bogus themes just for the sake of licensing agreements.

I agree, but we all know we're not their target consumer. I'm sure TMNT will do just fine. I love the most of the figs. Not feeling anything else 'cause they look like garbage, but we have to realize they are basing it on the cartoon. My 6-year old loves the new cartoons and he can't wait for these sets to come out.

I have to agree with Hodgman the turtle vehicles look like a little kid desogned them. That being said my young son can't wait for these. Oh well.

I picked up 3 sets from TMNT theme so I can have all 4 Turtles, however I am still debating whether or not I should hold on to them or return them for full refund. There are so many sets out there that I want that I can use the money I spent on TMNT sets somewhere else. It just that none of the sets really grab me aside from the Turtle mini figures. Oh well.

Well....The new Turtle van looks like one of those concept cars of the future plus it comes with a pizza truck.

I did a review of the Shredder bike, and the turtle minifigure (Donatello in this case) is very well made. However, the set itself? Meh at best. And way over priced. I honestly can't see myself spend the money to get the other three unless I find more damaged boxes.

Michelangelo always used nunchaku, even in the 80s series. I know the show was censored in some places, though. Do you remember the show as Ninja Turtles or Hero Turtles? If you remember the latter, you got the censored version.

I have been quite enjoying the new show, yeah there are differences but its turtles at its heart, and its fun. Would like to get some of the turtle minifigs but that's about all from the sets so far anyway
