Called TRU and they told me that the set is sold out and they have correction notices posted around the store.

The price error at 70% off has alerted the management of TRU and someone is going to take serious heat for it. It was foreseeble that TRU was going to post the correction notice on the front door. Since TRU staff do not want to enter arguments, the item was pulled off the shelves and not sold out as the staff told you, Brandon (in other RFD cases Staples had taken similar action to avoid PM'ing price errors). By today, WM management is most likely aware of the error and will have pulled them off the shelves as well.

As for the ethical issue, it's up to the consumer to decide and not to be greedy. We are all adults. One or two as Christmas presents for little Joey will be acceptable but reselling, no no.

Looks like I was somewhat lucky, as I found 1 on the shelf at the Vancouver (Broadway) TRU on Sunday, which I happily paid the proper sale price of ~$31 for. It will be a gift for my kid when he turns 5 in April!
