That's if you lived in the US...the only way to get the modular houses here in Canada currently are through S@H, Lego Stores, or TRU online.

I would have loved to get the modular house sets for much cheaper on the Walmart site like you guys did a couple weeks back.

This was a waste of staying up for. Of course, the moment I head to bed, all sorts of things will be 50% off.

Lego, I'm severely disappointed in you.

The sale list came in really handy. Had my order built since last night waiting in my cart, and was able to check-out within a few minutes of 11pm CST. All the prices updated in my cart automatically.

Snagged the Red Cargo Train and the Seaside House, both high on my want list. Also added a few stocking stuffers, even though I didn't need to, since I'm not sure if I'll get into the LEGO Store before the holidays.

Lego doesn't owe me anything, but just surprised I fell for the email they sent to one guy saying "don't listen to the rumours, we have good stuff on sale" (paraphrased). Lawl, those weren't rumours, they were confirmed.

I guess it's still decent as they have a $100 set at 20% off, and a $220 set at 20% off, just that they weren't particularly "good" or sought after exclusives (the mini modular is "exclusive" but not really a "wanted" set from the looks of it) like last year's Imperial Flagship.

EDIT: The one thing I'm still confused about is why the Star Wars Advent Calendar is still at full price for Canadians while in the US it's working.

I'm actually so confused. I wanted the mini modular and get the SW advent calendar to my friend if it was 50% off, seeing that the price is staying the same, I'll give it a pass. : ( *I still want that limited 2012 christmas set*

I added the Star Wars Advent Calendar to my shopping cart to see if the discount would apply, and like everyone else, it didn't. I did, however, notice that it says."You will earn 99 VIP points on this order". Is there a secret double VIP points offer going on?! (Canadian MSRP is $49.99)

The red cargo train is not worth it for canadians to buy. This set was at $175 at toysrus canada for at least a year if not more and there were 25% off sales bringing it down to $131 plus taxes. If you did not get it then, don't bother or only consider buying this set in the US or on ebay. Even for investment (since its retiring), still not worth it unless you get it from states.

Such a failed sale for Canada. Oh well... guess the retailers just aren't interested in moving their products on Black Friday. Was going to take a drive to the Lego store tomorrow morning, but thankfully I dont need to anymore.

Cheers.

Had the same experience, thanks for the sales list everyone! Put everything I wanted on the list in my 'bag' and updated at 11:01 CST. Worked much better than last year, although I miss those deals. For the fans of SW the R2D2 is/was still $40 bucks off at Amazon. As much as we like the Winter Village sets the SW sets always bring the WOW come X-Mas for this house. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I'm happy I waited to pick up the Monster Fighters Haunted House:

ORDER DESCRIPTION
Description Qty Price

3300014 Black Friday 12 V46
Item: 3300014 1 USD 0.00

Halloween Set
Item: 850487 2 USD 13.49

10228 Haunted House V39
Item: 10228 1 USD 162.01

8831 LEGO® Minifigures, Series 7 V39
Item: 8831 5 USD 1.33

8833 LEGO® Minifigures, Series 8 V39
Item: 8833 5 USD 1.33

Sub Total USD 202.29
Shipping USD 0.00
Tax USD 14.16

Order Total USD 216.45

It's been expensive with Black Friday and picking up a couple Nintendo DSi XL units at Wal-Mart and some games. Also, my wallet is shriveling after buying two Lego R2-D2 sets from Amazon yesterday.

I need to stay off the deal sites over the next couple months.

Legobrandon wrote:Hayabusa is back on US Sales page for 10% off.

Same here. Once I added the Hayabusa to my cart the supposed 10% disappeared. I still left it to complete
the $150+ for the global 10% but the Hayabusa should have been 19% off overall not just 10.

After placing my order, I started over from an empty cart adding stuff that was not supposed to be on sale and checking my cart hopping to find some golden deal hidden. No luck what so ever and I added a bunch of stuff.

One time last year, somebody found some board games for $3.5 but by the time I saw it reported here it was too late. I did place an order seconds before it was OOS but as many members here our orders got canceled

Was at a B&M Lego store. The only unlisted special I noticed was SW 7879 Hoth Echo Base for I think $72 (25%ish off, would stack with whatever discount you pulled so max of $65 + tax), everything else was as reported here. Uninspiring.

I grabbed a Red Cargo Train and a SW Advent and was pleasantly surprised to pull a 20% off, so I added a Haunted House. It's funny, I had a game plan for a 50% ticket (SPEND ALL THE MONEY) but hadn't really considered the possibility of 20%.

What a weak event. Only thing Id buy is the SW advent calender for $24.99.
Everything else isnt worth the $2.00 off. TRU has a better deal going it it seems, and thats horrible.

It's not that weak - joust is available in stores for 20% off. It has a red clearance tag. I spoke to the staff and they said it's discontinued. Strange, but if you're on the fence, now's the time to buy one. 20% + 10% + pick a brick box + holiday set with fillers. Definitely a no brainer.

I don't quite like how they make the online and in stores stuff different but whatever.

I didn't realize that one was discontinued. I was glad to see it on sale so I grabbed one and then after walking around the mall for a while I decided to go back and use my points to grab another one.

Great deals, loaded up on my Star Wars advent calendar fix for an excellent price and bought to the hilt on Series 8 minifigures. Best brick Friday for myself in a while.
