Just to add, for Canadians, another deal would be if you can split the cost with someone or get 2 Diagon Alleys, which works out to be $308.27 after all duties and taxes, so $154.14 for each of them...which is about 31% off compared at regular Canadian retail of $200 x 1.13 = $226.

If you choose to split for the Imperial Shuttle, it's $519.55 after all duties and taxes, at $259.78 for each...which is about 25% off compared at the normal Canadian retail of $310 x 1.13 = $350.30.

Does anyone in Canada (in the GTA area) have any interest in splitting possibly the Imperial Shuttle or the R2-D2 (refer to my post back on pg. 4 for the breakdown if the interest is for the R2-D2 set)?

I can imagine that most people tried the first day or two to get the DS and/or SSD, and saw that it didn't apply. So they just figured it's TRU being TRU, and stopped checking.

End of that, but anyway, any Canadians in the Toronto or GTA wanna split the cost on the Imperial Shuttle or the R2-D2? The Imperial Shuttle will be a savings of around 25% while for the R2-D@ will be around 20% off of the Canadian price (that already includes taxes and duty).

I already have Diagon Alley, but for those in Canada, if you get 2 Diagon Alley sets, you're saving 30% off the Canadian price (even after the taxes and duty).

I feel your pain brother.Saw the Hobbit sets up this morning but didn't have the time to make an order. Came home a few minutes ago from work and went to make an order....and bah, foiled by the all powerful TRU again. The only good thing about that company is that they are sure to have another sale the next week.

Having an issue with fao.com, the cart will not reflect the 50% off for modulars or diagon alley, even though it clearly says they are included. Anybody have any luck? With the 6% back at ebates and the $20 off $100, it is a better deal than TRU.

Can't get it to show a discount for anything - tried loads of different items (modulars are not included FWIW)

Picked up tonight for about $170 after tax. I was unable to use my Groupon because I had the Wendy's Kid's Meal promo for a $10 gift card with a purchase of $75 or more. I also used a $10 off $100 or more, $5 off $25 or more, and 2 - $5 rewards coupons.

Yes, I tried 2 of each and they told me they didn't ring up BOGO. I might have been fooled by not being able to see the clerks screen. That drives me nuts about TRU. I also hate how the discounts are applied on the receipt. They spread the discount across each item, rather than taking the sum off the total.

When I bought the polybags, I scanned them myself first. The elf poly actually stated "BOGO" on it when I scanned it in. Might be interesting to see if it still does. However, the manager had to ring up 2 elf polys for the BOGO to come up on the register - ringing up one elf and one Gandalf poly did nothing.

I ended up getting 9 elves and a gandalf all for the bogo with no issues.
